"I Didn't Know"

"When I first stepped into this place,
I wrote a list—
A clean, proud scroll of all I'd chase
In just two years.
I had a plan,
A spark,
A rhythm in my stride.

But no one warned me
That the world would bend—
That recessions bite
And spirits break,
And some days all you do is sit
And apply,
And wait,
And feel like ****.

I’ll explain, if you’ll listen:
It’s not a pain you can just speak—
It settles in,
Quiet and deep.
Still, I push through,
I do what I must.
There’s no running from this dust.

But what aches the most,
Is not the fall or the fight—
It’s that no one gets it.
No one sees it right."

"Sometimes, I feel lost,
Not because I'm alone,
But because no one truly understands.

They say failure is a lesson,
A step along the way,
Words we hear from loved ones,
Yet, something stings much more—
The silence after effort,
The absence of appreciation.

It wasn’t easy, yet I tried.
Maybe I didn’t reach the destination,
But I had the will to walk the path.
And still, all I hear is—
"You didn’t do enough."
"You should have done more."
"When you had the chance, you didn’t."

These words cut deeper than failure itself.
Because only I know the battles fought,
The struggles faced,
Some spoken, some swallowed whole.

But here’s the twist—
Every obstacle shared becomes a burden blamed.
So maybe, if they won’t understand,
It’s better to keep it within."
