Let the SHOOTING STOP, start on the Mountain Top.  Let the SHOOTING STOP, as it flows to the lowest valley.
Let the VIOLENCE STOP, begin on the Mountain Top.  Let the VIOLENCE STOP, dripping down to the lowest valley.
Let the KILLINGS STOP, disappearing on the Mountain Top.  Let the KILLINGS STOP, vanishing in the lowest valley.
THEN WE CAN ALL HAVE PEACE, NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING.  THEN WE CAN SKIP ABOUT, AS WE JOYFULLY SING.  THEN WE CAN JOIN IN AND HOLD EACH OTHER'S HAND.  THIS CAN BECOME A STEPING STONE, IN TO THE HEALING OF OUR LAND.

As we celebrate Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, May it be a day of Peace.  May love always abound; may it never cease.
It would be so wonderful, if we don't hear anything about shooting, violence and killings.  It will make our hearts rejoice, and it will be so thrilling.
May we make his Birthday, a day of laughter and fun.  Not just for a few, may it be for everyone.
May we take this day, to lay all prejudice aside.  May we not cause another soul, to shed tears, from running eyes.
Let's give Mothers and Fathers a break, from hearing any bad news.  Think of happy ways, how you can be used.
On this special day, allow his "Dream" to come true.  With the "Changing of the Guards," do the best you can do.

If you want an image of my earthly father, look at the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King.  My father was also a Minister, and taught his nine children to sing.
He also played the guitar, along with my Mom playing the piano.  If we had an engagement, we were ready to go.
He was a humble man; he didn't want anyone's feelings hurt.  In our house we could not even whisper, so we had to be alert.
On Sundays he would preach the word of God, as well as pray.  On a very long bench seated, is where his nine children had to stay.
I loved my father, very, very much.  He loved his children, and you better not touch.
As we celebrate the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday, I have so much to say.  May his "Dream" forever live on, and nothing hinders the way.

Why would you take a pill, that cause you to commit suicide?  Wake up and observe, what's before your eyes?
Why would you take a pill, to cause your eyes to go blind?  Why take a chance, to pick them up, waiting in a long line?
Why would you take a pill, to cause you to have diarrhea?  Why do you want to dehydrate your body, hoping it will disappear?
Why would you take a pill, that could cause you memory lost?  It will not be worth it, no matter the cost.
Why would you take a pill, that can damage every nerve?  It's important what I'm writing, and that  every word be heard.

You can be somebody, in spite of what people say.  Make sure you carry yourself in a manner, when you rise each day.
You can be somebody, don't be afraid of fear.  God created us to be bold, to make it through each year.
You can be somebody, be a good example, before us all.  Then you'll be able to answer, when somebody makes a call.
You can be somebody, learn to be your best.  When you go to sleep at night, you'll be able to rest.
You can be somebody, watch your appearance out in the streets.  You never know who you may run into, not knowing who you will meet.

Will we live another year, putting bodies in the grave.  Something really need to be done, about those people being saved.
We need to pray to God, to turn these bad things around.  Enough with the gangs, shooting and killings, allowing men to be bound.
With all the knowledge men possess; you mean they can't come up with a plan?  Something need to be quickly done, before no one is found, within our hurting land.
No gangs, no shooting and no more killings will bring about a big change.  I have one question, how can this be arranged?

Let's make this year, to travel a brand new road.  Allow yourself to focus on God; He'll help you carry your load.
So many things aim to bring us down.  If we begin to focus, God will come around.
Things all around us should provoke us to pray.  What a relief to have someone, to move articles out of your way.
Let's forget about, the pains and hurts of our past.  God can soothe your mind, so the memories don't have to last.
In order to meditate , God can give you peace.  If there are things troubling you, it takes God to cause them to cease.
