DISAPPOINTMENTS
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
The misery
He is going through
Is not because of
The external wounds,
But the disappointments.
Every day,
Sitting in the backyard
On the chair,
He keeps staring
At the door and
Dies in the hopes.
May be at the age of sixty
He desires of a joyful
And a gladsome family.

BLANK IN HIS EYES
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
The blank in his eyes
Is scaring me.
He couldn’t recognise
The voice,
Which once was
His only choice.
I can see my existence
Being erased slowly
From the fate lines
Of his palm.
His hollow memories
Resisting me to trace,
To trace his fingerprints
On my every dream,
Which now are
Nightmares.
It’s a betrayal, a betrayal of time.
The tick-tock of the
Running watch
Seems to eat me.
The tears are afraid to shed,
May be because
There is somebody
Who forgot how to hold on.

AT THE AGE OF EIGHTY
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
At the age of eighty
When you’ll be looking
For a hand to grasp,
I’ll become your crutch
Instead,
To walk with you and
Light up your every dream.

At the age of eighty
When you’ll be trying
To read
Your favourite novel,
I’ll become a nightingale
And sing every word of it
Melodiously.

At the age of eighty
When you’ll have wrinkles
And scars
All over your face,
I’ll be in love with you
With all my heart
As I’m today.
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
Today you are graceful,
Your eyes are twinkling
Like little stars.
Today you are
Admired by many
Because your charm is
Perfect.

But,
One day these hair
Will go grey,
Your face will
Get wrinkled and
You will be sitting
Quite on a chair and
Remind the days of
Your soft look.

Then,
That one man who loved
Your inner swiftness
Will cherish every
Beautiful change in you
And will love
Your pilgrim soul,
Because the beauty
Fades away but not the
Soul.

THE BLACK
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
The elegance of that
Black eclipsed night,
I think
There can never be
This better sight.
Once I saw
Glimpse of those
Black coloured eyes,
That left me in
Immense delight.
I was lost
In the shine of her
Black dense hair,
That tied my heart
With all the might.

HER HARDSHIPS
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
You might only see her outer cuts
And torn clothes,
But the depth of her inner grief
Can’t be thought up.
Her dreams are meeting to death
And she is becoming home to sufferings.
Her body is going through many hardships
And her shaking hands,
they fear to greet.
Though she is standing but her feet are shivering.
She is blaming to self.
Her colourful world is turning
Unusually into black and white.
Though she is a sufferer
But you all are staring at her viciously.
Now she is afraid of this world of demons
And horrified by your judgments.
Her life is lesioning.
All she is asking for is justice,
But the path to it is becoming cruel.

SHE IS PARADISE
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
She might have stepped down
From the paradise
With beautiful stars in her curls
and glossy eyes.
She lightened up my heart
When I was fighting alone
With the dark.
Her alluring soul is
Wiping out the beast
Residing inside me.
Her warmth
and the shining butterflies
She brought
Making my existence
Kind and wise.

THE INTENSE FIRE
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
She does not belong to ashes,
She burns the flames inside
And swims in the deep sea
Of fire.
She is a pretty firefly
In the rhythm of high tide
During the dark night.
A bowl full of sunshine,
Her attitude is savage,
She walks with a heart
Of pure gold
And the passion
That can never be sold.

I IMAGINE
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
I imagine us sitting
underneath a tall tree,
holding hearts
through ups and downs
and you’re gazing at my
glittery smile so intensely.

I imagine us talking
through eyes and not by words,
through all the versions of
love and trust,
I’d choose to be with you.

I imagine
a lifetime with you.

DUSK
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
The mesmerizing shades of pink
Of the sunset,
The birds going to
Their premise,
And the dark colour
Of the dusk
Calling the moon and the stars at a rise,
When the bright light of the sun demise.

WHEN OUR FINGERS INTERWINED
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
When our fingers interwined
All my evilness flew away,
I felt like I was in heaven
And danced like I was just eleven.

When I turned my eyes towards you,
You looked so fine
And your flawless smile
Lightened up my heart for a while.

I drifted towards you
Like the river falls in the sea.

A glimpse of you
Made me believe
That my once and for all
Is nothing but looked like
You.

THE LAST KISS
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
That dark night he couldn’t sleep
And I knew he was muttering something too deep.
Alarm rang at six,
I picked my heart up to fix.
I went to the kitchen to prepare the breakfast
And saw him staring his son after an hour past.
His train was at nine
And he whispered, “Darling, stay fine”.
We went for the station
And saw thousands of soldiers going to save their nation.
Sorrows were all around,
I saw tears falling on the ground.
Five minutes to go nine,
He went to take his seat in a line.
He held my hand through the window
And said, “If I didn’t return back,
Tell our son his dad loved him beyond imagination
And died in the battlefield for our nation”.
He kissed me
And gave me a strange smile,
As he knew he was going far away in just a while.
Nothing was an amiss,
But I knew that was the last kiss.

DEAR LOVE
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
Dear love,

"Hold my hands and I'll conquer
Through the odds."
Like the sun spreads
the light, after the night,
you rejoice my life's every instant.

Your portrait dwells into
my eyes, so perfectly
as if it always
belonged to there.

Your presence comforts me,
it gives me courage
to stand on my feets bravely
and envisage the truths.

AN UNAIDED FATHER
Sakshi Rajput Feb 2018
I know the man standing aside
the lying body,
with the shivering feets
and screaming silence.
That man, may be hiding his tears
or thinking about her fears.
The crowd giving him sympathy,
which could never pay off
the loss he never wanted to face.
Looking at her  closed eyes, that once saw infinite dreams
and her shattered mouth,
that once spoke like
the flow of streams.
Preparing for her burial,
he was dying every moment inside.
May be, he could never overcome
his mislaying.
Standing his beside I can see
his soul crying out loud
and asking to God, if everything could become sound.

A Ballet Dancer
Sakshi Rajput Jan 2018
They say Ballet is effortless,
since they can't
feel her aches and her agonies,
which she is going through.
A perfect body balance
over every single muscles,
stomach in, elbows up,
lifting the whole weight
on her cracked toes.
Keeping her leg straight
higher,
higher and
higher.
"A shooting star", she is yelling,
and I can see her wishing for
a new pair of feets
instead of new pair of shoes.
Being flexible as hell,
she is jumping
five feets
up in the air splendidly,
and coming back on
bleeding feets smilingly.
Sakshi Rajput Jan 2018
It's hitting me slowly
from inside
to watch you in bliss,
without me,
from outside.
Once, I meant a world to you.
But now my chapter is shattered.
I believed myself
to be your life's
only story,
though, my tale was written with
no glory.
You left my heart
drowning in the lake of
colourless hopes,
and I stayed there
in the depth,
thinking for the
help and
ropes.

A TINY WATER DROP
Sakshi Rajput Jan 2018
One day when
the daylight flashed,
I disappeared.
I had to leave my family
and my deep blue behind,
to join the
mass of mist
in the vault of heaven.
My feets were cold
and eyes were
amazed.
I took a long breath
and relaxed,
as I was not lonesome.
Then, clouds thundered
lightings striked
and poured out big
lumps of
rain.
I met dazzling stream
that took me to the home
again.

VOIDLESS SOULS
Sakshi Rajput Jan 2018
Let me wipe
your tears,
bring all your sorrows
out.
Let me command your
demons
to walk away,
kick your sadness on
a couch.
Let me kiss your
scars,
heal your cracks with
my love.
Let me rock your
soul,
touch your inner being,
shake your spirit
and wake you
up.

I PROMISE
Sakshi Rajput Jan 2018
I promise
to walk together,
under the mid day sun,
along the long
sea shore.
Holding your hands,
I'll never let you fall.
When you'll be walking alone,
along the
thorny bushes,
you'll have voids
and bruises,
I'll heal them all
with the first aid
of my heart.

BROKEN PROMISES
Sakshi Rajput Jan 2018
Standing amidst
the yellows,
feeling warmth of the air
that blows.
The stubborn winds,
refusing to go unheard.
Leaving me puzzled.
I can hear
her broken promises
which once I'd adore.
Her words hitting me hard
which, now I could only ignore.

Do I know the winds?
They're whispering some things.
But do they all know,
the thing I can do is,
Ignore.

Falling Slowly
Sakshi Rajput Jan 2018
Falling slowly,
For the glimpse of her eyes, that takes me to divine,
In this inevitable world, those eyes showing me path and how to shine.

Falling slowly,
For the touch of her hands, about which the God told,
In this crowd of unknown people, those hands are making me bold.

Falling slowly,
For the pink colour of her lips, that melts my heart,
In this universe of meaningless words, she comes from a place of art.

A Stranger
Sakshi Rajput Jan 2018
Journey going to nowhere,
I found a stranger somewhere.
It is odd , that it feels like I know
Him for years,
But do I know him well?
My heart fears.
It's weird to think,
How my eyes didn't blink,
The smile of his face gazes
My bright eyes,
I whispered "A traveller, I found"
And then I sighed.
Though, nothing more than friends,
We still seem to be strangers,
Like him out of all odds,
And we laugh as the loads.
