i want you if
even for the
shortest moment
of time
even if knowing
our hellos
will also be
goodbye.

i want
you

to hold me.

His mind is screaming that he’s on flat earth
but his body sways from an entire week’s worth
of pints and ***** on a wave-crashed boat.

Rolling waters (from the wind and rain?),
All while two lovers begin co-mingling,
and deep into night he’s lost while thinking:

“My mind screams of solid ground,
My body tilts and tumbles ‘round,
I think of the one who no longer waits.
And though I’m not alone,
my heart still breaks”
She is the brightest Sun.
She is the web the spider spun.

She is the candle light.
She is my second sight.

She is the beauty in my mind.
She is my faith in human kind.

She is the blue of the sky.
She is the voice of a seagulls' cry.

She is the leaves on the tree.
She is the movement of the sea.

She is the clouds high above.
She is the woman that I love.

Sickness beware,
I will be there,
Weakness watch out,
I'll be her crutch,
Sadness, oh you,
Can back away,
'Cause I'll keep her from your rain,
Anger, calm down,
I will stay my ground,
Fear, fear me,
dare not come near me,
Forget about failure,
Lose all the lies,
All you demons beware,
For her,
I'll be there.
