Daylight took over,
Like the tide of the sea,
When my eyelids have opened,
There is no struggle for me,
My vigilance is a guide to my life,
The door to my life.
The eyes are my guide,
My visual conscience,
When they are concerned,
Upset or happy it’s open for the world to see,
The door to my emotions,
The lock or the key.
As you grow older you start to see,
Not everything is all happy,
A toll of reality,
That the world is not pure,
The door to the soul,
A growing pain we endure.
One day there was nothing left for me to see,
My friend the eye deserted me,
A door opened,
A door to be in another world,
A door to be free.
