Tornado Proof
Russell C Neal Aug 2013
I am surrounded by tornadoes
Trying to **** the life out of me
Twisting and bending my words at their will
Trying to rip me apart
But...
I stand firm
Like a concrete pillar under a thick slab of deck for a bridge
Reinforced with steel bars
I am immovable.
As the tornadoes keep coming
Year after year
One would think that I'd begin to weaken
No...
I stand firm...
Unphased
My mind and soul can't be broken
For I am a solid beam
A beam of light and hope
Showing others
You are stronger than any tornado
Persevere

Light
Russell C Neal Dec 2012
I'm awake.
Idiot box illuminates.
A dying tree dressed in holiday garb.
Shines bright with a crooked star on top.
I go to bed.
Not before I follow a safe visible path.
I wake up at night to use the restroom.
I need guidance.
I'm rudely awakened in the morning.
Beams of solar energy piercing through cheap shades.
I drive home from work at night.
Switches on my truck panel help me reach my destination.
I need this flame, so hot,
To enjoy my overpriced cigar.
To cook my food.
I often wonder where would we be without it.
Do you remember light before you were born?
Will there be light when you die?

The 1st Time
Russell C Neal Jun 2017

We need to see each other, look in each other's eyes like we're staring at the Universe in amazement, hug each other tightly and long so we can smell each other, touch each other's face so gently like touching a baby, touch each other's lips with our fingertip and finally kiss while massaging our tongues together as one, so soft and gentle, slow and meaningful, like we've been waiting for this moment all our lives, spirits meant to be together...

Can we make this happen? This is my vision. No ***, just the 1st time we see each other. Organic/******* without *******. Our minds, spirits and bodies in tune flowing like the Nile.
Like we we're meant to be.

Please say yes and be with me, even if just for that brief moment. That brief moment may last an eternity unless we see each other again and again and again... Like we were meant to be.
