Love's a little more obvious than you may think
The water in the ocean
The water in your sink
Its all around you though
Don't you know
That's what its all about.

Flowers bloom on the floor
I think i made it sunny today
But i can't be sure
Whatever she say, be it may
Waves still meet the shore

But in the opera house
His shirt is tore
And with the cymbals
Gives a roar
They shouted for more!
And behind closed doors
All the balconies came crashing to the floor.

Now wind begin to shape
Take use of my cape
What"s the current rate
Wrap my heart in cello-tape
With a thousand words to meditate.
Gone or just out of sight
Left or was I right.

Could be warm
But it's not
Can I be bothered to heat you up?

Resting Ritual
Rupert Apr 2013
Let’s sleep like lions
With breezes in our hair
Let’s lie like leopards
Anywhere, I don’t care

Let’s rest like tigers
And know that we’re fair
Let’s laze as bears
On a ground we share

Until you believe me
I'll be fond of you
On the secret brightest beach
Found with each our own canoe

Dancing sandy footsteps
Is what we are as two
And sleeping like lions
Is just something we do.

Existential Toast
Rupert Mar 2013
New years eve feels like yesterday.
An angel arrives on a wounded planet
Our fair sister
Been ravaged and plundered
Ripped and bit
Stuck with knives in the side of the dawn.

I should mention
He will kindly dissent
For the guest’s cards tucked
The labels on our lips
And the dreams we have ******.

A map of the world can be found in the empty, locked computer room.

On the other side of the mountain
Proud monk folk draw elaborate systems with sticks in the sand
And in the evenings
Sip, splash and clap with their hands.

I suggest to those present
All of you with considerable stakes in the company
To withdraw the entirety of your wealth
And join us in building our sunset pier.
Let's drink ‘till spring
Wash away our tears.

To feel regret
He'd hasten refrain
From driving contest
Or acting Mundane
To build a nest
Of raw sugar cane
Far from the rest
Their thoughts were insane.

'If everyone were to think about themselves as much as you do
That would make everybody a little more complicated too.'

'Did you not see the accident since the butterfly flew?
On the oak branches that kiss the ground
Hang me by the lace of my shoe.'

But on his chest
A red rose stain
Just like the rest
Treadin' on tender brain.
Couldn't blame her any less
Out on the dust plain
The two weathers met
And she made it rain.

But to mention something
'Just thoughts' deliver nothing
When she told him she could change her heart's running
Touching her
He lied
He felt nothing.

dnt ask wut.
Rupert Mar 2013
I want to run,
Run,
Till the air leaves my mind,
Till the suns burnt my side,
Till my eyes fall out dry,
Till my legs can't try.
Sprint up a mountain
And off a cliff,
Drop underwater
Into abyss.
'Shoot me'
Tear a hole in time and wrap myself in lightwaves.
