We all have wishes, hopes, and dreams.
Aspirations and goals it inevitably seems.
Cloudy and lost amongst the rubble
How i wish for, just 1 more cuddle.
2 bodies entwined, hand in hand we go
Hair in my face, 1 arm going dead.
Never the less I would stay in that bed.
Hope that you see before its too late
Before you close and lock that old gate.
I was not what once you had dreamed of
But merely a boy who just wanted to love
So scared and afraid to lose all hope
But the gate that you close feels just like a rope.
The boy is now gone he wont come around
For in his place stands a man more sound
I dust myself off and i plod on ahead
Scared and still anxious but sound in my head.
A new suit of armor and a new blade to boot
But this time is different for im more astute
Compassion and empathy ring true just for me.
How I wish that you could see what I've come to be.
Open your eyes, see what you will lose
I am no other not just some small muse.
1 of a kind thats how I was made
You have my loyalty and shiny new blade
Fear not this man is not here to harm you
But carry your burden and stand tall its true
I was made with a bag to carry my sorrow
The pain and suffering of every tomorrow
I dumped my ******* and cleaned it out good
Its ready for you to let go if you choose
Do not be scared know i am strong
Fill this bag up I'll carry it along.
You need a break I can see that
Too much you have carried, let me take the slack.
I vowed and I swore to be by your side
Let me take over, and you have a ride.
Rest your head on my chest and let the worry go
I'll prove im unique if you'll let me just show
I was made to carry burden unlike any man
Give me yours, take a break, I'll stand as tall as I can.
The choice is yours that much is still true
But see before you decide which 1 you will choose.
Before you push away know what you will lose
A man for your burden and that is no ruse.
A heart that loves you and cant be compared
No lies or misstrust that can be equally shared.
I dream and i wish that you will choose well
I hope that you see that this is no spell . . .
