I'm staring in the eyes of infinity,
And infinity is looking back at me
Saying nothing,
While I'm saying everything.

Which drives the need.

The need for me to string together the notes
That she wrote from silence,
While in silence she notes
That nothing worth knowing comes easily.

'Please me.' Said infinity.

No matter how much you add or subtract,
Go back,
And ask how to please yourself,
To bring me something pleasing.
For I have no ears to hear,
Only eyes to see,
But neither I'd need,
If you brought me some feeling.

Love each note stroke, or hate it.
Trust the song your soul wrote,
Because by the time you realize
That you love or hate the take,
It'll be too late to take back.
The feeling that comes from that
Attacks the next note just the same way
As if to say that to loud can blanket the soft away,
Or, strike a new note, and let it sustain.
The pain that the first note wrote
Makes the second much sweeter,
So show me your mind,
The deeper, the deeper.

Severed Ties.
Leave the leaves to breeze,
Because the trees relieve leaves
From limbs who bend to break,
Then mend to make the new trees,
For new leaves to be set free.

To take new from old,
True from told,
And observe the curve of a circle that meets
At a point where nerve seeks heart beat and comes around again
To be found again
By the man who looks enough to look around again.
Just to see this seed just needs to find the ground again

The seed just needs the ground found again.

Instead, you take the newly freed seed,
Coming from a windy seed sea,
And sweep away the day this seed set free could see and dream
Of the tree that this seed could one day be
To shade the day away
From the man who sees this seed's dreams as reality.

But this seed needs to breathe...
To breathe in and breathe out,
And the breath is coming from the lips of a man equipped with a list
To cut this seeds wish
With words that come from another's mouth.

What's done is done.
The sun can see itself in a place it's never seen before.
The ground shines green from the space in between
Where the light is,
And where this tree used to be before.

And the seed?
No, no,
The seed is free,
Floating away in a sea of dreams
While the tree from which it came to be
Met it's demise,
Severed ties.

Draw the Battle Lines
Draw the battle lines,
Cross them if you wish,
But a kiss could fix this.
First, pick,
And choose what you want to lose.
Who knows what blows your mind's eye might find,
Inside the head that hides behind those lies.
Because,
The spark that eventually lit your fuse
Falls to a pit that maintains the flame contained in mixed wits,
Wishing that each wit with which picked the fight,
Might see the other side,
As many other nights they've tried.
But, that can wait.
Because the weight of this dark knight's fate lays heavy,
Right where you left it when you kept it hidden,
Underneath the overtones that your voice had ridden...
Riding me,
Riding you,
Riding the words that described the times between the lines,
And the verbs that line the times between your place and mine.
Profound sound on higher ground, and down was nowhere to be found,
But nowhere was the place to be..
Apparently,
Because nowhere with me is somewhere with you,
And somewhere with you is somewhere that's new,
True.
But what's new is also what's old again.
It's twice as nice when you see it again,
Which is twice as nice when you need it again,
And you'd need it if you'd seen it again,
But that's between the lines,
Cross them if you wish,
I'll just say that one kiss could fix this.
