Bobby was a dog ,
short and wispy golden brown ,
muddy fur ,
he went everywhere ,
we went ,
we went everywhere ,
he went .

Bobby was a dog ,
he'd wait all day ,
until we were free ,
from schools ,
and rules ,
and grown up fools ,
to swim in waters ,
clear and free .

Bobby was a dog ,
a loyal friend ,
taught me a love ,
i'll always defend ,
we had nothing together ,
save cuts and laughs ,
fears and tears .

Bobby was a dog ,
everyone knew ,
if he was there ,
we were too .
Bobby was a dog ,
my friend you see ,
we buried him together ,
my brother and me .
where in the world did it go ?
the value of gold ,
the value of water ,
Summer caught flu
and i am left looking.
The joker left town ,
searching for trade ,
because one fallen bough ,
changed the whole tree ,
each leaf is different ,
except it's journey to ground .
water falls at the end of land ,
i love it with patience ,
wasting my time ,
i never see the whole rainbow ,
when the sun is on my back ,
before me , a shadow ,
made by the light .
