The Forgotten
Robyn K Dev Aug 2013
The wind blows amongst the trees,
It pushes her down to her knees,
She hasn’t been having the urge to live,
Cant let the pain go like flour in a sieve,
But every night the wind returns,
No one knows or has concerns.

They forgot about her once she left,
He stole her heart like a petty
theft,
But he is just a simple boy,
After all the easy and simple girls,
He turned her heart to a plastic toy,
Breaking her down behind innocent curls.

Broken barriers expose her heart,
He has mastered this psychotic art,
And left her laying out in the rain,
Soaked and drench in her sorrow and pain.

The Monsters
Robyn K Dev Aug 2012
I sit alone in a darkened room,
Eyes panning in optical zoom,
I stare hard into the black,
Waiting for them to attack,
They're always sneaking into my dreams,
Making things feel worse than it seems,
I'd ask them to leave it's too late,
Using my fear as a form of bait,
They'll never stop from eating me away,
My soul is bound to soon decay.

To live or to die I shall remain,
As I watch you go insane,
Try not to worry or have any fear,
For I will never shed a tear
But now I hide in the shadow of protection,
And hope that you are only a projection,
A crazed creature of my imagination,
A closely detailed illustration.

The Game
Robyn K Dev Aug 2012
I don't care,
What you are thinking,
Because my ships float,
While yours are sinking,
So go swim in the moat,
Of dreams and desires,
While on the surface,
I set small fires,
So when you come,
Swimming back around,
Don't be alarmed,
You won't make a sound,
You will sink back down,
From the depths you came,
Not longer a contender,
In my life long game.

Just Another Piece of Fame
Robyn K Dev Mar 2013
Would you know,
When you hit rock bottom,
When your life was turning,
Into a devilish hell,
Were the colours of your world,
Red like autumn,
Or black and grey,
Like the tomb they call your cell.

Would you know,
When you were dead and gone,
Taken out by the queen,
As you were just a pawn,
Insignificant,
Just another piece in this game,
Easily replaceable,
Under the spot light of fame.

My Northern Star
Robyn K Dev Jun 2017
When you are gone,
I dream you are here,
Like a slow song,
You'll always be near,
Close to my heart,
And never too far,
The most special part,
My Northern Star.
