“Growing Pains”

Fire will die and water will dry
Tears will cease and weeping end in a sigh

Trees they wither while hearts must lye
Broken cracked and bleeding memories of the sky

But lightning strikes and kindles flame
While rain clouds gather to bring the same

Another day of growth and strife
That wets the earth to bring new life

“Superman”

She flies and lies and cries

Never stops caring never stops daring

To go ever further and climb ever higher

“The Man in the Moon”

Round and flat, silver and white, black as night

Alive with stars, dead with the sunrise
Still not gone till nearly nine

If you look he will be gone
But at a glance he shines with glee

That young old man who never sleeps
The one who no one knows but everyone sees

“Battlecry”

Battles rage and chaos gains a hold in every heart
But through all wars and endless fears

An end will come to all who seek
To tear the veil of reigning peace

My battle cry will end the fray
For my voice it shall be heard

“Little Blue Box”

As blue as the sea, opened with a key
Bigger than it looks though we may never see

That rumbling box whose breaks are locked
I speak of course of Private Calls and broken laws

Of a hero once thanked and his little blue box

“Love of a Storm”

The storm may come the storm may go
I use it for good I use it for woe

I am the wing of the storm the storm who has no wing
For when I fly I storm and blow

I swoop and carry all who cannot go
Another step toward unending goal

They know me not but praise me so
For i have no face but wind and snow
Robert Fox May 2013
You had the key to set me free
So you opened up my chest to see

The heart that loved you pounding
Red and blue and very sad sounding

For though you opened up the chest
My heart you left inside to rest

As a small silver box
Still covered in locks

But never opened it rusted old
Till naught was left but purest gold
