Rick Snow Feb 2014
a sunset on the horizon
is the same as a goodbye
both hurt,
but one I can't stand
because the next day
I'll feel the warmth of the sun
not a knock at my door
with you standing there
saying goodbye
Rick Snow Feb 2014
the music plays slow
with each step across the floor
the taste is electric
as she motions towards the door
but as soon as we're there
she's not sad anymore
from wanting you so bad
like I never have before

the night goes on
as we climb upstairs to her room
notice the look of her skin
as it reflects off the moon
but as soon as we're there
it seems she's up too no good
from the touch of her lips
and the way that she moves
Rick Snow Feb 2014
blue shades of light
shining through the blinds
opening my eyes
reaching out for you;
you, who's behind the blinds
waiting for me
who's just in reach
worlds apart but just in the next room
if only you could see
what fills up this room
you couldn't imagine what comes alive
when those blue lights start to shine
just emptiness waiting to be filled
by you, who's just in the next room
waiting for me
so just open up the door
and come on through

pressure;
such a strange thing
isn't it?
how on those cold nights
when you couldn't sleep
and all you wanted was
pressure;
up against you
like the way you remember it
oh yes, such a strange thing

I felt no innocence
peering through her window that night
but I couldn't help it
she looked so beautiful
half naked in front of the mirror
with only a candle lighting the room

I had to stay quiet
waiting for her to fall asleep that night
but I didn't mind it
so use to my heartbeat racing
half naked lying across her bed
with only a candle lighting the room

"how does it feel?"
I asked him...
but there was no answer,
nor would there ever be
