You don't always have to win.

It's completely fine to break down,
and let yourself shatter.

It's okay to get tired and sad
when everything is so
disappointing.

It's not a sin to seek pause when
things are twisting your head
and turning you upside down.

It's not wrong to want space
when it becomes difficult
to breathe.

Never feel sorry for your
‘weakness’
You just had too much.
You are a human with a heart,
a being who can feel.
You may not be a diamond,
but you are a flower--planted firmly on the ground,
letting the breeze sway you once in a while,
yet still giving life just by your presence.

Lose yourself,
wander,
and in the middle of
what seems to be a wrong place,
you will know
what your soul truly desires.

I know that after the series of cold nights, the sun will rise.
Yes, it will.
Even under your tear-stained blankets,
the light will find its way
to warm your shaking arms,
and meet your exhausted eyes.

You don't always have to win,
because in the end,
worry not,
you will still win.

Ways to Leave
Riz Gonzales Jan 2018
Ripped pale skin and veins
Cry a bright river of blood
Peaceful yet strong streams
Until the scene coloured late sunset
And my skin drowned in red
Exhausted breath
Stupefied, dark eyes
Dried tears
Or that metal shiny machine!
With trigger to beckon the bullet
That fits just perfect, like
T'was especially for my nervous hand
and for my useless head!
Let my flesh stain the earth
Pull the trigger, go on
Ending everything
In a snap, gone!
Maybe a killer liquid will do
Or lavish on tablets and pills
As if they can **** the demons within me
or heal who's ill inside
Death no more brings horror
To crave it like dream
That dark desire creeps
In my little, crowded mind
Polluting every corner
Until the smokes become fire
And burn the entire
Leaving me empty, insignificant
Perhaps, "All was nonsense,"
Oh, the torment of dying!
Its agony is nothing
Wildly nothing to that of
When I was living

— The End —
