If my words could change the world,
If my words could leave a dent,
If I wrote them in stone to be eternal,
Would they be seen or heard or acknowledged.

Would people merely pass them,
Or struggle to understand ,what it is I meen.
Would they be shown in glory,
Or trampled on and disfigured.

When all it is I need to say,
Should be heard by one,
And one  who knows my words too well,
And never sees me truely.

If I could write them on a standing stone,
Being bold and strong,
For my words would last till the elements have cast their destruction,
Would you and all the world know how much......

I love you.

Mask
Riley Stuart Jan 2014
Your mask is unlike anyother,
That I have yet to see.
Its impermeable to your emotions,
And a cruelty to those it fools.
You lurk in the safety of your mask,
A hiding place from all the world.

A never moving shadow,
Which knows no pain,
You keep yourself within,
And never let them in.
Waiting patiently until they leave
Your mask and you alone.

To the crypts of your silent soul,
Will your mask and body go.

My only desire
Riley Stuart Dec 2013
You are my only desire,
The depths of my dreams,
And the never-ending wish of my reality.

Without your touch ,I am merely lost,
I need you to see me through the narrow path
Which is my life.

You are my only desire.

Behind
Riley Stuart Dec 2013
He walked away, in a subtle but silent way,
As if to say ,that he ran away.
I was left behind
With the passing of another day.

Its sad to say,
But I hope I entertained you,
While you paid for your ticket
But got to lost to the show.

I get left behind everyday
You were just a different way.

Decay
Riley Stuart Dec 2013
Steady hands
And a careless sigh,
Clear speach which does not pry.

Lie to yourself
Saying you're fine,
Even though you dont know why you cry

Your mind lingers,
Your eyes follow.
There are choices to be made
And dreams to reach decay.
