You.
Rikki Lanser May 2014
New page, different day, still no words that I can say.
Trying different states of mind, but none of them fit my kind.
I sit and wait, hoping you'll be here.
I sit and hesitate, hoping they'll be here.
All my feelings, laid out even and  nice.
Right here in my heart, but I need advice.
How do I tell you exactly how I feel,
But better yet,
How do I prove to you it's all real.
The butterflies when I hear your name?
You're constantly on my mind, but fates to blame.
The way I smile when I feel your touch?
And the way I talk about you, a little too much.?
How I would do anything, to see you smile,
In hopes that maybe, it'll stay a while.
Because a smile on your face, is a smile on mine,
We could both be happy, till the end of time.
How I think you're perfect, in my eyes.
Don't bother telling me you think they're lies.
Because everything I tell you, is completely true.
I wouldn't ever dare lie to you.
I'm glad I met you, it made me complete.
Without you, I'm obsolete.
You may think you're "average" and you may think you're "okay",
But I beg to differ from what you've shown me.
I've seen you laugh, I've seen you cry,
And still I'm standing by your side.
I'd like to be your number one
Because how many people are as perfect as you? 0 to none.
I hope this Poem, makes you smile, because In my mind a walked a mile.
From point A to point B,
Because I finally figured out me.
How to tell you how I feel,
And all my feelings, are all too real,
And they're real for 1 reason...
You.

6:00 am
My eyes open, as I look around the room.
The through of school fills me with gloom.
I stand up, and I get dressed.
I keep thinking "I hope no one notices that I'm depressed."
I brush my teeth, and grab my bag,
As my mom begins to nag.
About how I'm gonna be late, but I don't care.
Id rather be anywhere but there.
As I get to school, and walk through the halls.
I find a place to sit and stare at the walls.
My mind racing about what was due
But then it happens, and I see you.
Perfect as ever, flawless as can be,
All I can think is "why won't you notice me?"
But then I realize, that's to good to be true.
I could never get someone as amazing as you.
From what I understand, I'm not good enough,
You can have who ever you want, that's no bluff.
The bell rings, and I head to my first hour,
Heards of kids walking a mile an hour.
Me thinking "this is why I hate school."
"You walk as slow as a **** mule"
And for the rest of the day, all I can do,
Is sit there, space out, and think about you.
The one good thing I sorta have in my life,
The one thing I'll think about before I sleep at night.
And when I wake up, tomorrow again,
6 am, here we go again.
