You (my reflection)
Rikki Ann Johns Jan 2012
Things haven't changed between us
We still sit here in the silence
Ignoring that ever cliché elephant

Just to hear you sigh sets me ablaze
My anger rushing through me
Unsettled because of your deceptions

Picture me in the way you always have
Little angel beauty, sweet as sugar
You have never been so wrong

The things you did changed me
They shouldn't have the power
Even though they do

To be here with you
In this small room
The silence too quiet

I cannot stand this anymore
I have to leave here, I have to go
Don't call me back, I'm no longer you

I miss you
Rikki Ann Johns Nov 2011
Lets think about a place, a place that only we know. Where everyone is happy, and everyone is sad. To get there you must know things of udder disappointment and tragedy. This is a place of well being and emotional chaos. We are all here now because we knew someone wonderful who had changed our lives. May she watch over us all and help us through this place we are all stuck in without her.

Loss
Rikki Ann Johns Nov 2011
Lets forget the sad tears and cry happily over the memories we all share. To understand the sorrow, you must first understand joy. Put your hand in mine and we will make it through together.

My Monday
Rikki Ann Johns Nov 2011
Oh dearest Monday, how you lose me at 6am, join me at 7am then forget me by 9am. Never ending fractions of time and grace, but only a thing of great kindness is ever known to me and my Monday. When the end of my Monday comes it is a hopeless nothing that may repeat at the times end of my Tuesday.

Without You
Rikki Ann Johns Oct 2011
It cannot be unwound
From this tight little knot
The ball of saddened twine
Rolls along unattended
Keeping itself together

Not long passes
Before your gone
The twine left alone
Forever to roll
Numb and sad

Unraveling in places
You can no longer visit
It’s sadness left
To stay
In place of you

Never will a time
Pass without a memory
To bring along happy
To accompany sad
On its long journey

Many hearts will see
Even more will feel
The pull of that twine
On their hearts
Without you

— The End —
