Wow...to see so many days to do what we love to do,
A whole new year has started
Everyone talking of new beginnings, new hopes, new ideas and what not...
But the old unfinished stuffs are lying around. Gathering dust and cow webs.
Yes there is a millions things to do and bring about change. A change which must start from us, family, locality, district, state and the nation.
A collective change towards doing good and ensuring every mankind lives in happiness and peace is important.
I dream of that day when there will be no poverty, no violence, no abuse.
All mankind lives in love and peace.
365 days to change..
Hope we can...

He is not my child from my womb,
But he is like my child forever.
He came to me eight months old, his mother was busy and left him with me.
For someone just so little, he had a way with him, his pattering running, jumping on the bed, throwing the tennis ball in style. I could only look at wonder, his style and strength beyond age playing ball.
He is going to be three in a few months down the line, started kinder garden and has become a big boy almost. Every morning he runs in naked with his uniform in his hands, demands that I put it on for him.  He is adorable, loving, seeking and at the same time demanding of constant attention.
At present he comes daily looking out for me to play and teach and give him unconditional love. A few years down the line, when he is grown up, I won't find him running behind me calling out aunty, aunty.....
Until then I will be there for him, teasing and playing with him cause he has given me a joy which I didn't have, for I am single. He brightens up my day and I would do anything he asks from me, for he is just a child demanding his share of love and attention.
God Bless him.........

To dream is to fly high like a bird.
It is the possibility of great things happening to oneself.
The sky is the limit and all the hope
Of the best is yours for free.
Dreaming is believing
The infinite becomes finite.
You can be anything, do anything
Anytime, anyplace. Like the ocean it can go
Deep and unfathomable.
The dreams become reality,
Once we accept that we have to
Work for it.
So lets not let go of our dreams
Let it lay besides us and look
At the mysteries of life.
Dream away...dear soul.

Her heart heavy with sorrow
Eyes filled with unshed tears
A love long lost, that held no meaning,
She left behind her dear ones to their sorrow.
She had, had enough and the dignity of being a woman and a wife had no meaning any more.
So one fine day, no one besides her,
She left this earth, all alone. Her life went silent with the pills she swallowed.
That morning she was there, pretty and smiling wistfully. But within 24 hours she became ashes to be strewn on the seas to float away into the eternity of a betrayed woman.

It is there within us, unseen and unspoken.
But when life is down, we can only hope.
A hope that comes from within, to give us a better tomorrow to look forward to.
A feeling that the next day will bring in something better.
we look forward to life with hope.
All of us hope everyone is better off then what they seem.
Hope is the binding thread of life.

Most households wake up early this month.
The cold breeze and lighted streets testimony to the winter month.
Young and old woman wake up,
Open their doors and wash the entrance clean with water. Then they draw an elaborate kolam also called dot designs.
Every household will have a kolam, designs perfect and symmetrical.
On the wet ground the white rice powder design add aesthetics to the homes.
As one wanders in the cold, the temples come alive with music, the bells ring in harmony and houses welcome the margazhi month with kolams and festivities.
It is one of the best times of the year where every household celebrate the year beginning with colours and festivities.
The kolams add life and vibrancy to homes. Harboring a hope for good things to come.

Standing atop the highest building,
She watched the bright lights of the city.
Strumming a guiter, singing silently for the love of the earth, the beauty it carries, the hope it dishes out.
The stars and moon look down at her, listening to the music that made them want to dance.
She kept on until her fingers hurt, but the sleeping city slept on and she just wanted to keep on and hang on, not wanting the sun to rise and let the darkness cool her mind.
She just wanted to play for the stars and the moon and look on upon the silent earth filled with nightly magic.

Everyone loves the rains.
Romantic, walk in the wet streets
Getting feet wet, trying to make paper boats sail...the feelings run deep.
But Chennai my favourite city
Came under the deluge of uninterrupted rains.
The city streets became rivers
The homes and everything drowned underwater, people suffered through
A loss of everything that was home to them.
No power, dwindling food supply, the list became endless.
The rains refused to slow down,
It brought about a destruction with it unimaginable in a city where people lived on a day to day basis.
In the midst of this misery and destruction, kind souls helped the less trodden. The volunteers and good Samaritans brought a ray of hope to the devastated population.
The city is limping back to normalcy.
Hope the rains go away so that people can rebuild their life.
Rain rain go away
Come again when we call you.
