**H.M.S. FRIENDSHIP**
Reina J Morris Sep 2013
Friendship is built upon the foundations of
Unique and quirky first impressions.
It is not brought together by what others
May say or recommend,
It is not brought together by a Rubik’s cube
Or the use of super glue—
Friendship is just what it states!

Two or more ships brought together
To become one friend—thus the
Creation of Friendship!

It involves a raging sea of betrayals;
Of innocent white lies; of going astray;
Of being in the wrong place at the wrong time;
Of hatred and envy.
But Friendship is strong
And it prevails over anything above all else;
And when the bonds of
Friendship is that strong, nothing between
Friendship should ever; could ever be wrong!

However, you do get one or two that goes overboard
The bow of Friendship and are forever lost at sea
Hoping to be picked up by Cecrops, the Lost Mariner to
Remain forever a prisoner on the ship of Friends that
Corrupts the minds of truthfulness; of the One True bond
That which is called Friendship.

My ship is true and has never
Strayed from its course.
It is homeward bound towards
The foundation that which
Made it true; towards quirky
First impressions that’s unique and precious;
Back to the fleet yards and of harbors
of its creation--
The Fleet of Friendship.
I lost the friendship of someone very great to me and I don't even know why.  The messed up bit of it is that we're co-workers and now we have to work like strangers... geeeezzzz.. :-(

LOVE IS TRUE
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
ALL HE DID WAS LEAVE ME ALONE.
THE FIRST YEAR WAS WONDERFUL
DON’T GET ME WRONG,
BUT AFTER THAT ALL THE LOVE
AND SWEET NOTHINGS WHISPERED
IN MY EAR BEGAN TO FADE AND DISAPPEAR.

ALL I KNEW WAS HOW TO LOVE A BAD MAN.
HE NEVER BEAT ME, BUT MY HEART WAS BROKEN
THE MANY TIMES HE WOULD CHEAT ON ME;
ALL HIS LIES AND DECIET THAT WAS ALL I KNEW
AND IT BLINDED ME TO A LOVE SO UNTRUE.

IT TOOK SOME TIME TO BREAK THIS SPELL
HE SPELLED ON ME, FOR ALL WHO TRIED
THEY FAILED MIGHTLY.
I FELT SUPERIOR ABOVE ALL ELSE—YET
LITTLE DID I KNOW—HE LOVED SOMEONE ELSE.

AND WHEN THAT LOVE DID NOT SATED HIM,
BACK HE CAME AND I, UNABANDONLY CEDED HIM.
FOR YET I STILL LOVED A BAD MAN; HE KNEW WITH ME
HE CONTINUED TO PLAY HIS HAND…

BUT ALL HE DID WAS LEAVE ME ALONE
UNTIL ONE DAY IT FINALLY DAWNED ON ME
WHAT I WAS TOO BLIND TO SEE.
LOVE REALLY WAS MY ENEMY—HE CHEATED ME
ONCE MORE, THE MAN I THOUGHT I ADORED.

IT TOOK SOME TIME FOR MY HEART TO HEAL
FOR IT WAS DAMAGED BEYOND ITS ORDEAL.
YET HE NEVER FAILED TO TRY, WHILE HE UNDERSTOOD
I WILL NOT YIELD, MY HEART HOLLOW AS WOOD.

ALL HE DID WAS STAYED BY ME; I WAS NOT ALONE.
HE KNEW I BRUSHED HIM AWAY; I’VE FORSAKEN LOVE—
YET HE CONTINUED WITHOUT NO SWAY—
ONE YEAR, TWO YEARS, THREE UNTIL FIVE,
I’M STILL ALIVE!

I DON’T HAVE THE WORDS TO THANK THIS MAN ENOUGH
FOR IT WAS A MAN THAT SHOWED ME LOVE—
HE BANISHED WITH HIS MIGHT ALL THAT WAS UNTRUE
AND MADE ME BELIEVE THAT LOVE IS TRUE.

Because Of You!
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
Because of you I’m full of laughter.
Before I was sad and confused;
I didn’t know if I would make it
But I did because with you
I didn’t have to fake it.

Because of you I feel complete.
Before I was lost and afraid,
But not anymore because with you
I don’t have to be that way.

What did it take for you to make me see?
What does it matter, if loving me was enough
For you to stay and never leave?
I don’t have the words enough to thank you—

Because of you I’m full of laughter,
Because of you I feel complete,
Because loving me was enough
To make me see that I’ll never
Be sad or confused or lost and afraid—
Because of you I’ll never be that way.

Walk With Me
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
Come take a walk with me;
Let’s get far from here
I’ll take your mind off
All the stress; make you
Feel good with just my caress.

Come take a walk with me;
Away where no one can see.
I’ll make your time of
All the best, you’ll see!
I’ll concentrate all my
Attention to making you feel
Good and brand new.

Come take a walk with me;
Come see what I can do for you--
Make you so you’ll come
Back to me.

Let’s go…let’s just go--
Come back in a few days or so.
I’ll love you so good, I’ll be all that you’ll
Need to know.
Baby come, take that walk with me…

Defy Not the Heart
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
Defy not the heart
For it sometimes lies and
Tells you:
You shall not feel pain.
When things break apart
And nothing is ever the same.

Defy not the heart
For it shall grow
Wiser and strong
And can tell whether
Love is right or wrong.

Defy not the heart
For is speaks true
Longing with passion
Just to be with you,
But holds back because
It knows love is not true.

There is nothing that I’d
Rather do than spend what
Little time I have with you,
But I need to know
Is your love true?
Defy not the heart!

Nothing Here for You
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
What is it that you want from me?
What is it that you need?
All that I gave to you;
You threw it back to me!

How many nights that I’ve warned
My conscience, knew deep down
That I was right?
How many nights that I’ve cried
My shame, tried the fight, lost
And had no one to blame?

There is not anything that you can
Ask of me.  All that I had of you
Died the day you took to being
Demeaning and condescending;
Abuser of the one true love that was given to you!

Too late to know and understand its
Meaning or how happy it could have made you,
Now all I see is a man full of jealousy.
Too proud to swallow his pride,
To accept how he lost his bride to another
Who loves her sincerely, of true love was found worthy.

I don’t see what you want from me,
I don’t see what you need from me,
Because whatever you thought you had--
You had, but were too blind to see.

My Favorite Clown
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
My favorite clown,
He makes me laugh
When he is around,
He makes me happy
When I’m feeling down.
He knows just what to say
Without uttering a sound,
He’s silly, he’s conniving;
He’s always giddy and
He loves me, he adores me and
He’ll never let me down--
That is why I’m so in love with
My favorite clown,
Because I can’t be without him holding me,
Talking to me, laughing with me, scolding me,
Being mad at me--I can’t be without him
Being everything to me.
I can let him see the real me,
No beating around the bushes
Or hiding around;
Oh, no! Not with my favorite clown the one
Who makes me laugh when he is around and
Who makes me happy when I’m feeling down.
Yep, that’s my favorite clown.

Ceased to Breathe
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
If only you can reach my heart.
For there is so much to tell,
So much that has been left undone.
I’ve love so many times,
I’ve given so freely and was
Never given in return.
I vowed I would never love again,
For when I thought love was a friend,
It was but my enemy.
But here, I consent to this love anew--
With the chance of my heart of being torn.
I offer love so true and abandon
The many times my heart has been scorned.
If by chance you can reach my heart, to
Make it good and whole again, make
My heart smile once more--then you’ll
Be the one I’ll truly adore.
And so shall be the day when love
Decides to tear us apart--broken will
Be my heart, and when you come to
Sit by me, I will already have ceased to breathe.

Believe In You
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
I could only feel within my heart
How many times it was torn apart.
How could I pretend not to let it show,
The many times a “you” had to go.
You tell me words I’ve already heard
To win me; actions speaks the truth
Louder than words.

Still I would like to try to believe in you.
I will close my eyes and picture us,
The two of us so much in love,
I will fill you up with my entire caress;
Female sunshine and nothing less.
And though I am so afraid of what
I feel, I need for you to tell me it’s real,
And I will try… I will try my best to
Believe in you.

It Was He
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
You only tell me things that you want to tell me, but I know differently.
You only let me get further than the limit you put out for me, but
I know that if I had the chance I can go further than you think of me.

I don’t understand why it’s so hard to let go of something that harms you,
I guess it’s because the saying must true; that when love finds you, it blinds you.
But I know a greater love that knows when to let me go when you’re heart
Is finally home;

It’s like learning to ride a bike for the first time; you use training wheels,
Then a supporter and when you’re ready, they let go and you’re on your own.

He doesn’t put up a wall with me or tells me what he thinks I want to hear,
He doesn’t put a limit to how far I can get, oh no, he lets me go further my dear,
And it was he who showed me the way to break free of the love that blinded me

Because it was he who showed me a greater love,
It was he who knew when to let go, let me be on my own,
It was he who knew when my heart was finally home.

My Legacy Ends Here
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
My legacy ends here,
I have no name to lend
Because I was born out of wed lock,
All I have is the shame to bend.

The truth comes out always
When the truth barer passes on;
What I believed to be a truth on my side
Turns out to be false pretense; nothing but a lie.

Who was my true parent, will I ever know?
One thing is for sure, I was not to be procured.
And that is apparently something hard to swallow
Because being born out of wed lock is so hollow.

My legacy ends here
I have no name to lend,
Except what was generated out of
Grammatical error has to die here in this era.

How would you feel?
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
How would you feel, if you were me?
Longing for something so sweet yet-
Knowing that something is not reality.

How would you feel, if you were me?
Trying to make someone see love is there yet-
Knowing that someone’s love is not the same pair.

Can you understand? Can you read my mind?
I would give you the whole world if it were mine.
Only to you and because of you.  Not just because of love.
Something that would be forever mine.

It really hurts when someone you love
Does not feel the same yet-you still say, “I love you!”
Without knowing or feeling a bit of shame.

You know what? I love you!  It is true.
But I would be more beautiful than I am now,
If only you loved me too.

You Can’t Hurt Me Anymore
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
You can’t hurt me anymore,
For I am invincible;
Away from you I am capable,
Capable to succeed and become free.

You can’t hurt me anymore,
For I have done what
Some find hard to grasp;
I found the strength to say
“Enough!” at last.

I’ve put you so far behind me--
I’m too far gone to be reached.
Only concentrating in what will be
So that I can believe.

Living in the present to prepare
For my future.
I’ve left the past all up to you
Because you can’t touch me at last.

You can’t hurt me anymore,
No more tale-tell bruises
To explain or the unbearable pain,
No more purples and blues that used
To cover my face, only happiness
And breathable air upon which
I now embrace.

No, you can’t hurt me anymore,
You can’t touch me anymore,
Today I’m the conqueror because
I’ve left you back there
The day I walked out the door.

I Didn’t Exist To You
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
You know how funny it is—
When love is right in front of you
Yet—you can’t see
Because you have it set in
Your mind that you were blind to me,
I was way out of your league.
Boo, I loved you, but I didn’t exist to you!

You know how the pain in your heart
Feels, that pain which makes
You hurt, makes you weak, and
Not feel real,
Because love was looking for you
Yet—you threw it all away
Because you thought it wasn’t your day—
Silly you—I loved you, but I didn’t exist to you!

You know now what I mean
Because now you can’t understand
The way you see me, how I moved on
And in someone else’s arms—
Yeah, you know what I mean…it’s so hard
It seems that you can’t go on.
You’re without me and it kills
You to see it, boo how you lost me.
Because when I loved you, Stupid you—I didn’t exist to you!

I can’t stop thinking about you.
What Voodoo did you put on me that I can’t try?
I see your lovely face in the blue-black silhouette of the night sky,
In that faded dream where your love made me cream.

I can’t stop thinking about you
I’d like to know how you made me want to need you.
Remembering your touch, your hands on me, your kiss to me,
Like a need for a drug, to calm me, I can’t take withdrawal, feed me.

You put your love in me, real slow, deep in me.
I’d like to know just when I opened for you.
Too late, there I go, my cry for you… yeah you know,
My body shaking as you hold me close, there you go!

Now I finally realize that you are my true love….
Because you are all I keep thinking of and that
I need you each and every day; I’d like to know,
Since you got me, just what the hell did you do to make me stay?

How you got me this way, got me sprung, looking for excuses just to be near you.
Just to be close to you, see you in reality; see you in my dreams…
Fiction or not I have to have you or I can’t breathe,
You are the air that I need; I live for you, constantly thinking about you.

Can’t get enough of you; **** come fill my need with you!
Tell me your secret, babe, that thing you do to make me need you.
Remembering your touch, your hands on me, your kiss to me…
As I give it to you; it’s what you’ve wanted from me!

I can’t stop thinking about you.
I wonder… just wonder what it would be like; you in me this way.
In that faded dream as your love made me cream,
Like a need for a drug, to calm me, can’t take withdrawal, come give it to me.

Metaphor
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
That’s why I love him!
Because he makes me calm down,
Gives me hope, and rebuilds my faith.
He carries me up a mountain to let me breathe
The clean air, and shows me that life itself
Can be that same clean air – its metaphor!

He closes my eyes and awakens me
To a new life, and tells me that
Everything will be alright.
He’s the blood that runs through my veins
And makes my heart pumps loud and hard;
Food for life – its metaphor!

That’s why I love him!
Because he puts me first, never second
And for sure never last; that was in my past.
I’m the one he adores – its metaphor!
He knows that I love him, never doubts it
Because I always tell him when I’m calmed down,
Have hope, my faith is rebuilt, when my air is clean,
I wake up to new life, everything is alright, when my
Heart pumps loud and hard, food for life –
It’s all about metaphor!

You the Moon and I the Sun
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
At first I must have blinded you
With my rays of golden sun light;
You were caught in love at first sight—
That was pure delight!
Throughout the days that came and went,
We loved; you and I
On those days spent.
Until one night underneath
The blue-black night skies,
There you showed me from
Where you came—
A constellation of stars
That will somehow bring me pain.
And sure enough, the day was to come;
That I, the Sun and you the Moon,
Could not be made one;
And so, by day my light gives way
And shines a path for you to take flight,
To shine your light when I am away.
Sad to say; how you the Moon
And I the Sun;
A love that could not be made one.

To Another World
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
If I were to go to another world
What would you say to me then?
That my world was coming to an end!
If only the children who heard the calling
Were chosen, what would you say to me then?
Save as many as you can of them.
Of all the major catastrophes we’ve experienced
In the past and those recently;
Of all the events that are now occurring
That which we blindly take for granted—
We have not opened our eyes to see
That when we do it will be too late for us to flee.
When does anyone learn a mistake?
When the mistake has already been committed.
And how many mistakes does it take for us
To finally learn?
As many mistakes is takes us to burn.
And who shall pay for our mistakes, the ones
That we didn’t learn?
Our children and their children and
Their children for generations to come!

In Love with a Vampire
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
“This body is lifeless, cold, and hollow—
You cannot know what you ask for, for I,
I am the One many men would ****—
For I am he who walks the night,
That which prowls the Darkness,
Forsaken by the light,
I am he they call the Beast.

O my love it is you that I seek—
For you to be my loving wife
In eternal love and everlasting life—
Yet, I cannot put onto you death,
For I love you too much to
Condemn you, lest take your breath!”
                                                           --Bram Stoker’s Dracula

O my love but I am dead if I
Am to walk this Earth never to hold you.
T’would be to walk in Hell; a place
Where my love cannot reach you.
Give me life eternal, let me walk
Beside you my Dark Prince.
Into you, let me breathe my last breath
For if I was to walk this Earth alone
T’would surely be death!

Then let my love sink into thee—
My love; drink of me, come into me and
We’ll be together in immortality.
Open your eyes and see what I see,
Breathe what I breathe.
Live with me at my side, as my bride
For a love as ours is sure to never die.

Inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula

Another Night
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
Can’t keep from
Missing you a lot!
Can’t help but think about you.
When your *** felt good to me…
It’s just not right to have to do without
You another night.
I close my eyes, I open my thighs
You put it deep inside and we start to vibe.
I part my lips, you grab my hips;
We start to blend
And it’s my body you mold;
I grab on to you tight
As I begin to flex; nothing between us
But the sweat as you drive it in deeper,
My ****** I just can’t hold.
Can’t keep from
Missing you a lot!
Can’t help to think about you…
And when the *** is this good
And you know my **** is tight…
There is just no way
I’m going to do without you
Another night!

The Opposite of Aphrodite
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
Why did Aphrodite take away
The man I truly love?
She planted false accusations
To make him see only
The bad that were surrounding me.

She planted me in places that
Were utterly cold and untrue;
Only to make my love see me—
A vindictive being with a soul so cruel.

She took his heart with her hand
That went straight through and
Banished all the good that
I knew was true.

She made him believe all the
Lies and deceit and made him
Walk the Earth never wanting me,
Never needing me, she; Aphrodite
The Goddess of Love, made the
Man I love never to love me.

Poetry on Canvas
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
Listen to sounds come alive
By the magic stroke of the brush,
Rhyming words come alive,
With soft colours to the touch
This is my poetry on canvas.

Colours that glows, fade away
And darkens,
Words that inspire, deepening the
Soul and hardens;
With the magic stroke of the brush
With soft colours to the touch
This is my poetry on canvas.

Silence is all the beginning,
Silence is the awe that captivates
The spectators as they listen to
Sounds making sense; as they
See colours mingle together in
Wondrous brights of essence.
This is my poetry on canvas.

Sounds come alive
With the stroke of the brush
My words come alive with
Your soft colours to the touch
This is…my poetry on canvas.

Your Love is My Garden
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
Your love is my garden
I go there and stop time.
Where I can walk and
Smell your fragrances.

Touch a rose across
My face, feel it’s soft
Petals caressing my skin--Oops!
As I looked to see,
It’s your lips pressed against mine.

Lay myself down on your sweet
Green grass, feeling the sunshine
Warming my body--Oops!
When I turned to see,
It’s your body over mine.

I feel your stream washing
Over me, through me, filling me
Up with all of your essence--Oops!
When I came to my sense,
It was you that filled me
With your vehemence.

Your love is my garden
I go there and stop time
To walk and smell your
Fragrances; enticing my senses--
Awakened to your caresses.

Two of One Heart
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
If only you can see me.
I follow you every day,
Sad to say--you cannot see me.

How did I fell, how did I
Let myself go?  Only to hurt you
Because I know you loved me so.

Tears fall from my eyes
When I feel the pain.
But you can’t see them, though I know
They hurt you because there I go
Crying again.

I walk with you every where you walk,
I feel with you every thing you feel,
I sit with you when you are silently
Sitting by me,
Though you cannot see me; my love, I am
There with you.  I watch over you, I cry for you.
We could never be apart because we are
Two of one heart.

I’ll remember you
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
I look for you when I close my eyes.
So hard to see you by my side.
Though I cannot see,
I know you are here with me;
Every time I write--it’s you talking to me.
I will never forget the short times that we shared,
I will never forget how much you cared,
I will never forget the kiss we kissed, it is
Something that; well, I guess I will miss.
I write this through you because I loved you
And I will keep on writing through you
Because forever--I will remember you.

In memory of Nelson Feliz

“Dedicated to you, Nelson, I will always love you.”

A Virgin’s Dream
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
I close my eyes and I see visions of you
You’re holding me, touching me, I feel the flesh of you
Inside of me.
How I wonder if one day this would come to be true,
Oh, how I wonder.

With great force you turn me over,
On hands and knees you enter me and
With such a push you send me calling.
Calling for the man that is within you to bring forth
The woman that is within me--
I’m calling…

We’re almost done this in and out motion,
But this feeling I’d like to express, but oh, how could I?
There are no words for such a feel.
Except only to do the natural…
I’m screaming, and screaming, and screaming.

Only then when I gave my last cry did darkness covered everything,
As I laid there on this soft pillow of skin next to me--gradually fell asleep.

I never thought that I would come to love you.
I always knew that one day I might lose you.
I never expected to share so much with you.
I always knew deep down, you loved me too.

But this is the time; I suppose,
Either you let me go or you will be mine.

I never thought that you would make me laugh.
I always knew your love, I would have.
I never expected you would show me the right path.
I always knew the right man would pass.

And even though I was in need,
It was like you said to me,
“To have, to hold, but not to keep.”

But now you have made one mistake.
You have overlooked something precious to me
That you will never be able to take--
Now I can say as I watched him as he slept,
“To have, to hold, but your Son I kept.”

When I Reach Out For You
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
If I reach out in the night for you
It’s only because I long for you.
But lately you haven’t been there
For me and so when I reach out
It’s my pillow that comforts me.

You say you’re going through
Some changes and tough times,
Well I can understand that from you,
But you forget that when I signed
On it was a partnership; the captain
And her crew!

If my ship sinks I will not abandon her
To suffer the cold dark depths of her
Seclusion alone!

That is how I think of you
When I’m left alone in my darkened
Room, alone in my ship as it touched
Bottom deep beneath the ocean’s blue.

And you’re the explorer with your
Expedition that came and saw me
As a wreckage with sunken treasures
To exploit as parts of me are recovered.

But no longer!  I refused to be that way.
So, if one night I reach out for you, well
You better be there, my love—because
One day I will give flight and I’ll be
Free just like a dove.

you say, "I'll never find someone like you?."
Love is always going to be love in one person.
Love is different colours, different emotions;
Love is a time traveler, but no matter
How many times you find love or love finds you--
There is only One of one person who'll love you.
They're irreplaceable, untraceable, one of a kind.
They are always going to be them--who they are!
They'll have different colours, different emotions.
They're time travelers and no matter
How many times you find them or they find you--
There is only One of them who'll love you.

Slow Motioned
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
The Introduction was trivial
compared to your entrance
into my world--the way how
everything just disappeared
and all I could see is you walking
towards me.
It seemed as if everyone around
me suddenly stopped talking
and every motion was slow motioned
just for me to get that first look;
that first impression--I was speechless--
Man, that was priceless!
And when you took me into your embrace,
taking my breath away with that first kiss--
Ooh, that was bliss!
And since that day five years ago;
that famous intro you do--
I have to say, "You the man!"
Because I swear, when I look at you,
everything just disappears, all I see is you my dear,
and everyone around me suddenly stops talking
just so I can get that first look; that first impression
and every motion is slow motioned.

When Your Heart Smiles
Reina J Morris Jun 2013
I remember when there was a time that
you would look at me and my heart would smile,
and I was told, "That is how you know he loves you..."
When your heart smiles.

I remember when I think back on the times when all
I had to do was just think of you and there I go grinning,
feeling giddy and warm like sunshine;
yet I've not felt that in such a long time.

Where did all that go and will I ever get it back,
do you know?  Instead, my heart stopped smiling
and I don't have that grin, that giddiness or
feel warm like sunshine anymore.

Where I'm at it's dark, cold and confined.
I watched you from a distance and saw your
face no more, but I'll always remember those
moments we've shared together and watch
over you from beyond the nethers;

help you to keep alive those feelings of
when your heart smiles, the giddiness
and the warmth of sunshine until
the stars die out; until time erases time.
