What I Want
Rebecca T Renish Jun 2016
What I Want

I want to feel
To experience only what is real
To know the joy of being me
To find truth in what I see

I want to care about others
My friends and lovers
I want to be held and I want to hold
To be warm even when it's cold

To fully share all that I am
To be a trustworthy friend
To one day be able to look inside
And find that I no longer hide

I want you to take this
Rebecca T Renish Jun 2016
I want you to take this
It is just a token
Yes I know....
It is broken

You could say that it is used
Even say that it was abused
For it is no longer a heart
Only bits and pieces ripped apart

Visions
Rebecca T Renish Mar 2016
I dreamt that I was a rock and found I was stronger than a Man
I dreamt that I was a tree and found that I was taller than a Man
I dreamt that I was a bird and knew freedom as no Man could ever know
I dreamt that I was the Sun and gave Man his light

I wakened to find I was all of these things
For there is no strength equal to that of a Woman's will
And no tree more majestic than a Woman
Nor is there any bird more graceful than a Woman's heart
And it is but a whim from a Woman that guides a Man
