In the honeyed light
Rayna O Feb 2011
My brain slips further further down
Sinking low
Low, low
I feel you like fingers on a spine
Soothing insistently
It’s beautiful and dark
Calm
Still..

The faintest flicker
Of together returns
To my head, however
With a casual
Touch
to your gaze
As the focus slips to the right
I find myself looking
At you
As if to re-again say
Why, hello.
unplanned, like all my poems

Pulled
Rayna O Feb 2011
I feel speared
By tines
They pierce through three spots
Cris-cross and leave me pinned
It’s ok, though,
‘Cuz as I’m crucified here
The sweetest song is playing around me
And if I could move
It would pull me away
It’s better I stay
Propped
And just listen to the throbs
And tugs
Pulsing sweetly through my limbs
spontaneous, as always
