My Comrades
Raul Rivera Jan 2012
Listen to me Comrades.
The Battle waits ahead.
Keep your weapon close and you will not dread
Comrades, please don’t tread on me
Let that be handled by the enemy
Do you feel the stares coming from the hills?
Make sure you make them want to take their final pill.

March with me Comrades.
The battle is here
Do not let them see your eyes full of dying fear
This will be ******, shoot them where it hurts
Make each bullet stop their final blurt
Almost done comrades! Keep mowing them down
Make our commanders laugh while making theirs frown

Stop my Comrades
I want you to look behind you
Look at all these bodies on the ground spewing their blood too
Mourn your fallen brothers, but your enemies as well
Every lifeless body here will make a mothers eye swell
Keep on Comrades there is nothing you can do
Just make sure your mother eyes don’t swell up too.

Mrs. Keats
Raul Rivera Sep 2011
In living flesh
there she lays on the desk
eying me like a piece of meat
her collar and hair, so proper and neat
we lock eyes, I succumb to her seducing stare
I start to pet her body almost naked and bare
she sees my crab cakes and eats them like a beggar ever so poor
she stares back at me as she cat walks to the door
her tail, wagging, her hair still proper and neat
that's exactly how she is, my cat Mrs. Keats
I wrote this poem when I asked my girlfriend to throw me a little starter. "In living flesh" was her words. This is the product

Turning Into Gods
Raul Rivera Dec 2011
Inspired by Jason Silva*

There is a revolution in the way that we think
Each day we push our bodies, thoughts, and voices to the brink.

Most of us most of the time, see the world through a very small set of filters
We must break these filters and let our thoughts flourish instead of die and wilter.

This is a time of communication, connection, and collaborative innovation
This will bring us progress and give humanly thought salvation

You use perhaps one millionth of the potential energy that’s inside your head
Lost in vibration, are the ideas that are said.

In my mind it is life that gives meaning to life and what we do with life
By preserving knowledge and science with the creation of music and art are the gains of our strife.

In the science of today we become artist. In the art of today, we become scientist
We use this to progress our species to become worldly finalist

There are no boundaries. There are no fears
We use this to accomplish and not look to our rears

Imagination allows us to think beyond our limitation-

It allows us to conceive of what might be -

And go farther that we ever thought possible
No idea ever to grand or radical

The point is in order to use your head you must go out of your mind
In order for you to gain the knowledge needed to unbind

You have to get beyond your routine ways of thinking
In order for your mind to be free of pollution and shrinking

We can break free of our genetic heritage
We have circled the moon, artificially reproduced DNA, and cut our death percentage.

Why should death itself our last enemy be considered beyond conquest?
We as humans have defined ourselves by overcoming biological contests

We are teaching people how to use their head
And have their thoughts ultimately shed

You are ready to have your perspective about yourself and life dramatically changed
And have your body thoughts and life go beyond the possible range

Because you will be a different person, and you should be ready to face this possibility
Because soon we, ourselves will become whole new entities.
After watching a documentary that Jason Silva hosted called "Turning Into Gods". I just had to write this poem.

Assassin
Raul Rivera Sep 2011
Attacked with a motionless step
He spewed and shot life from the back of his neck
He never saw it coming, the weapon, the knife.
and how it struck him with the taking of his life
His blood spilled, nobody heard a thing
not a thump, not a crunch, not even a ring
As his body laid there, motionless, dead
His earthly stone engraved, and this what it said
"Here lies our neighbor, so wonderful, so dear.
He was coldly stricken down without a ring in his ear"

Worship Freely
Raul Rivera Sep 2011
We should all worship freely.
Because every god, is in every tree,
and in every me,
and every you,
and every shoe.
And this is where we shouldn't tell anyone to scoot.
Whether they worship a old cow skinned boot,
whether it be mine or yours
fine or coarse.
but Remember in any belief, real or fake, new or old.
For the love of your God, never let your soul be sold.
I really wrote this poem in a spasm of thought. My AP Gov.&Eco;; teacher mentioned about Americans and religion freedom. "Americans can pretty much worship whatever they want. Whether a shoe or a boot, it really doesn't matter anymore"

A-Circle's Heaven
Raul Rivera Jan 2012
The country’s Anarchists have come here from darkness’ veil.
Your tyranny will end, and cease from our streets.
We will gather the rebellion, our troops and fleets.
They will come from the ghettos and your most corrupted jails.
These men, these Anarchists will be from the depths of your hell.
They will leave broken peace, and lovely chaos in your path.
Your corrupted tyranny will succumb to our wrath
This will be  A-Circle’s heaven, formed from the country that fell
