My secret world
Rania G Aug 2021
This is a moment in time
That has the essence of a dream
a reality unspoken
My secret world it is

Never had a secret before
Let alone so big
Leaves me with no protection
other than your will

Fell into your arms the other day
And nested my love
Forgot my armour
No defences or wall

Like a dove I rested
And yield my fortress for you
My darling, treat me
With all the care you can bear

For My body is naked
And my heart lies at your feet

My life is here
Yours another, far,
My mind travels
Cant help it afar
Everything now is different
With you, so close to you
Without you,so far from you
Insignificant

Melancholy unveils
From a forgotten past
Of lost meanings
Unexpectedly uncovered
And in the corner
Happiness also lingers
like in a child's heart
And day dreams and nightdreams

Lonely but not alone
Trapped
My heart remembers what it is to
Be important, to be free
To love
And desires
And fears
But knows
And wonders when will this lead
To my undoubting heartbreak.

Polaroids of you
Rania G Apr 20
What is left of us when the light goes out?
I strive to capture my memories
that feel like Polaroid snapshots of what it was, what we had that’s now lost

As I look  at a photo of me and you that’s  aged in time,
that bitter  sweet feeling is  flooding me as I attempt to relive our past.

What is left of you now that the light is out?
Are you travelling, are you calm
is your heart crying or floating in a non existence state?

Promise me there is more than this aged Polaroids of you. That you are warm and protected somewhere in this vast universe. That you know that you were loved as you walked this earth.

What is left of us when the light goes out? Don’t ever feel lonely,I will carry you always in my heart, promise me ,there is more left that that Polaroids of you
That I hold so dear in my hands.

What is left when the light in our eyes goes out?
Promise me not everything we lived was in vain. That there is a bridge where we revisit everything that was.
