I hated that feeling when I walked in,
With all the stares at the bruises on my skin.
There's no question it's your hand,
You did it yourself, do you feel like a man?
What hurts the most is you're supposed to be the first guy,
To **** the demons I made up in my mind.
But you became the demon, the monster in my closet.
What you did to me, I haven't forgotten it.
No more scratches, no more scars, no more bruises on my arms.
No more anger, no more tears,
All because "Daddy" is no longer here.

Don't tell me you love me,
and look me in the eyes.
Don't ever ******* look at me,
and give me such a lie.
You've been such a chapter in my story.
Don't close the book, it's too enduring.
Why am I addicted, to something that brings me so much pain?
I hate myself, I'm ******* ashamed.
I'd rather feel something, than nothing at all,
But you wont catch me,
Even though you made me fall.

Don't tell me that it's normal to cry yourself to sleep.
Don't tell me that it's normal to want to cut your skin deep.
Don't tell me that it's normal to feel unwanted.
Don't tell me it's my age,
Don't tell me it's my "teenage rage",
Don't tell me I'm dramatic,
Don't tell me I'm problematic.
If you were in my shoes,
You'd want to hate me too.

Stars can't shine without darkness,
The most wonderful people aren't noticed without the heartless,
Achievers don't achieve without the doubters,
Heroes aren't acknowledged without the cowards.
Who you are should make you proud,
no matter how much negativity is around.

People are addicted to things that make them feel,
Not exactly pain, just at least something real.

love is a four letter word,
that whatever you put in front of it,
did
do
don't
never
always
could **** you or bring you back to life.
