I really shouldn't blame her,
She's doing what is right,
I'm stuck here beneath the dirt,
And she's high up in the sky,
She hears my luring whispers,
She turns away firm,
And I, as though in hell,
Feel shackled and burned,
I should do as she does,
But my heart is too-

Foolish,

I can't turn away,
I run to her everyday,
I dream of her at night,
And even as I'm wide awake,
Her presence haunts me,
Her essence has engulfed me,
But she doesn't think of me the same,
If her and i fail,
I'm sure she'll love again.

There's a fish in my hands,
Around does he swim,
Circle after circle,
A race he'll never win,

He does not dream of leaving my hands,
As he's never seen the ocean,
So Around he swims,
In an ongoing motion,

But eventually my hands grow tired,
And shelter him I can no more,
And so I uncup my hands,
And away does he soar.

Write, Radwa, write,
Read, Radwa, read,
Solve for X,
Listen to thee,
Your highest is decreasing,
Pile on the work,
With paper and pen,
How can I think at all,
I've lost all common sense,
My skull has gone thick,
Expected to thrive,
Tick, Radwa, tick,
You're losing your time.

How many have sacrificed,
For you to stand tall,
How many have prayed,
That you give it your all?

But someone else is better,
I've got nothing else to offer,
I'm not skilled for anything else.

Knowledge, Radwa, knowledge,
Use it to propel,
But those with whom I compete,
Are skilled with talented feats.

I've got nothing but my mind,
Nothing to set me free.

Here she shines,
Again and once more
Her moonlight has traveled,
And knocked on my door,
I watch her through my window,
I dream of her as I sleep,
But a part of me wishes,
She was right here with me.

Here she shines
Her light so dim
Threatened by all that she feels
Threatened by meaningless whims
Watch her moon light spill
And filter through the clouds
Watch her twirl and spin
Criticized for being loud.

BUT I HOLD A PRAISE
I HAVE A PLEA
I PLEADGE A CASE
I PLEDGE AT HER MOONLIGHT
THAT SHES NEVER MEANT TO HURT
LOOK AT HER PLEASE
A PRECIOUS BEING FULL OF MIRTH.

Yet those who dwell on earth
Are oblivious to so
Amd those living on the stars
Turn their backs and away they go
So none but her sun
Can see past the blinding moonlight glow
But she will never reach the sun
In circles do they go.

And now come her tears
Ever do they flow
And now breaks this promise
A sullen, sunken hope.

Must this serve as a constant reminder,
Saying capture her now,
Immaculately bind her,
Twist her limbs to a nothing,
Tie her to a rope,
Do this, and do that,
She splutters, she chokes,
But indeed, without her,
The night moves on,
And even without her smile,
The mornings go on,
Buried beneath the dirt,
Soon to arise,
I was once a moon,
The moon was once I,
But now I am gone,
Despite once lighting up the sky.

A piece of my heart,
A chunk of my soul,
Has been tied to her,
And it won't let go,
It feels as though we are one being,
Yet our minds share two different homes,
I watch her in sadness,
As she twinkles without me,
And I look at her with fondness,
When I know she's thinking of me,
But never should my hand reach out to hold her,
Never should I pull her to an embrace,
And so I'm stuck wondering,
If she will be mine again,
If she will be mine completely,
And not in some half, twisted way,
If maybe I am to die with her,
I wouldn't have it any other way.
