Converging Death
Poulami Kar Aug 2016
The white shroud covered her body;

                   And

In his house the prayer was chanted and a sound of suppressed tears filled the air.

The water droplets touched her lips washing away the pain, making her peaceful smile even more prominent.

                   And

His body was bathed, covered with new clothes.

Six coins, some letters he wrote her and chocolates ;she loved them, she's taking them with her.

                    And

One diary, kites that she sent him on their 15 th anniversary;these are the last things he wanted to take with him.

Cherry blossoms caressed her cheeks as the fire started to burn the edge of her kimono.

                   And

White water lilies looks at silently as his coffin passed by .

Her fire coloured the sky scarlet

                And

His burial created the portal of a motionless land.

Her ashes remained

           And

His gravestone kept telling
"Maybe in next life .... "

It was not a day to rain for.
Yet,
it rained.

Somewhere in this rain,
A promise was kept.

A promise of years back,
Back when 'He' and 'She' were children,
Back when being together was happiness;
Back when.....
                       this happiness created love..

It rained,
         The world was quite ;
Only the sky echoed her promise to the land ......

" I'll follow you even through hell.... I'll be chasing you wherever you go. "

There she goes again.....
....... Chasing for him.

Monochromatic Funeral
Poulami Kar Jul 2016
She celebrated her funeral
Getting wet in the raindrops.
The wounded moths coloured
Her eye lashes red.
The monochromes of
Her own shadow
Clamped her legs in the black sky,
As she tried to fly once again.
Her shadow stood behind her,
Saying, "So even you can dream! "
She shook her head knowing
There's no escape this time.
She smiled as tears rolled down her eyes
When her shadow stabbed her,
Saying, "How dare you dream again! "
Her black blood splattered all over her body,
As she kept smiling palely
Turning her surrounding
Into a combination of binary colours
Of black and white.
She looked up for the last time,
To the little cyan
At the corner of the sky
Which was yet to be mono chromed.
And,
She fell on her knees
For the last time
Releasing every last piece
Of her soul.

And, she understood,

                            "Death
                                 Is
                               Cruel
                                 And
                             Healing
                      At the same time"

Unsaid words
Poulami Kar Mar 2016
Tears
Of
Ocean

Always remain unseen for they fade away in their ow(n)ess.

Screams
Of
Hurricane

Always remain unheard for they listen to their echo creatin(g)iggles.

Kindness
Of
Fire

Always remain unchanted for they get burnt midway of their birt(h)earth.

Beauty
Of
Moon

Always remain unnoticed for it gets hidden in its own uglines(s)ofar.

Scars
Of
Silent wars

Always remain ignored for it is to be kept a secret for fear'(s)ake.

Words
Of
Love

Sometimes remain unsaid for that's how you insisted to for(m)emories.

Blindness evaporating from a child's mind,
As the radius of the circle increases in the black triangle,
Little by little the white paper get soaked in red ink;
The child screamed in fear of seeing RED for the first time.
The paper cramped more and more as the graphite of the pencil got wet in red ink ,
The child feared darkness all her life;
But,
now she fears RED more ,
The cramped paper is now back to normal,
Though the redness is still constant,
And,
another thing didn't change,
The fear in her eyes,
The fear of knowing unknown.
