Watched it rain on a monsoon night Told myself “Tomorrow I’ll get wet”, But I missed it by a whisker Thought to myself “It’ll be back soon”. Winter came and left again I was cold even summer couldn’t shake, Spring blossomed and spread like wild fire Yet I sat there feeling cold. You walked back again a drizzle That made a rainbow, Only to tell you were leaving Startled I stood staring at your pretty face. To wait for the drought to end Is patience I lack, You may come back But I can’t promise I’d be there.

*Don’t Stop Raining*

Winter came and left again I was cold even summer couldn’t shake, Spring blossomed and spread like wild fire Yet I sat there feeling cold.
