Watched it rain on a monsoon night
Told myself “Tomorrow I’ll get wet”,
But I missed it by a whisker
Thought to myself “It’ll be back soon”.
Winter came and left again
I was cold even summer couldn’t shake,
Spring blossomed and spread like wild fire
Yet I sat there feeling cold.
You walked back again a drizzle
That made a rainbow,
Only to tell you were leaving
Startled I stood staring at your pretty face.
To wait for the drought to end
Is patience I lack,
You may come back
But I can’t promise I’d be there.

You’re never coming back.
This’ll never happen and I’ll never know,
Yet I stand here staring.
Wear red, yellow, white or green
Doesn’t matter, you look like the Queen,
Not that one.
My heart skipped when you walked in,
And all the eyes turned
But yours never did.
Your fingers ran across my face
And I sneezed, only to realize
It was all just a dream.

Thank you little flower,
You're drifting in the hot afternoon
Don't you worry about noon
Because he's leaving,
Dusk almost here to cool
To bring smiles to you.
Don't you worry flower
You're always welcome under my wings
Or just hide under my Shadow.

Walking with you by my side,
Watching the Sun set in beautiful lights,
I sulked every step we took side by side.
You pulled me up close to you,
Looked into my eyes with love,
Kissed me like fire in you.
The taste of your soft sweet lips,
The gaze of your beautiful eyes,
Fills joy in every last inch of my tips.

Inky blue sky
Like your brooding smile,
Stray rainbow in the sky
Like your dimpled smile,
Elegant like a daffodil
Yo're my Rapheale.

We walked under a canopy of pink
Looking beyond the cherry sky,
When our hands met I caught your wink
Made my little heart fly,
In the boulevard of blush we kiss
Under the green giants drizzling coral mess.
I peeked into your coffee brown eyes
As we walked under the street light,
Glowing like a jar of fire flies
Smiling radiant and bright,
Your fingers sketched my face
Kissing me without leaving a trace.

You tried to steal a glance
Walking by me like the silence of night
In a crowded place.
I saw the sparkle in your eyes
And a naughty smile danced
But I’m still not sure,
If that was just me or
If you really did smile
Like the fireflies I like.
Your hair blazing
On a gloomy noon
And your hands were busy
Trying to put off a fire.
Like a long stem rose
Tall & frail your fame
But stronger than rosewood
Is what I hope you are.
