Lying numbly on the street Rain pats Dribbling from fingers to feet. Reminiscing of times now past As rain pours Wiping away tears that come too fast. With an aching heart and empty mind Rain dribbles Searching for loved ones left behind. Eyes grow heavy and bones crack As rain falls Sending more memories of the day everything went black. Unable to go back and unable to move on Rain spills And all is dead and gone. jm
