I really enjoyed your use of repetition and snapshots during this piece and speaking to the honest nature of how someone's actions can ultimately lead you to a place of growth and being thankful that you had the suffering even if it hurt you immensely. I wonder if there is a place within this poem to flesh out or create and imagery for how being burned can always tear you apart, perhaps the journey of getting to the place of strength, in part with showcasing how you've moved on.

Seems a little masochistic.  Love is never fool proof, bullet proof etc. it hurts but so does life and its worth everything

Although I can definitely appreciate our abilities to acquire immunities I say be careful not to allow this to become callous.  I realize that trained seal and jade go hand in hand but don't forget your 'ordinand', retain some innocence if you can, it's an appealing quality!

Sounds like someone might have hurt you very deeply in the past. By the way you have written this it sounds like you have taken a long, hard, and deep look at the way it has affected you and certainly learned life lessons from it. Great poem.

Nice poem.  It seems like it should be longer.  The last line doesn't sound complete.

I got that it's about the person, I just don't think you are ever fireproof. after 76 years, I'm not.  Any way its fun to say something other than like it., Which I did.
