Growing up
In a small town
Where everyone knows
Who you are and where you come from
Your childhood friend
Becomes your worst enemy
As you reach-
The middle school years
As you enter high school
You become defined by your "clique"
Not as the individual
You have spent so long
Building yourself up- to be
But once you get out
Into the real world
It only matters
What you think of yourself.
