I love my dog I love the way he smiles When I Come home The love the way he grins And lolls his tongue When we walk Together In the sun I love the curl of his soft, soft Fur Golden and fluffy And so, so warm I love the way he scratches At my Bedroom door When he hears My soft sobbing Down the quiet Corridor He comes in And he listens Without asking any Questions Just curls in my lap No advice No fussing No half-hearted suggestions Just looks up at me With golden brown eyes With a little black smile He doesn't need to say it "Can I stay for awhile?" I love my dog He's going to live forever
