The stars winked from the end of the pier - As if signaling to no one in particular She was the unity he had searched for of this he was certain The restless wind carried All their revisions - The coveted moments of intimacy Unfolding across naked arms He understood then How certain nights are not nights at all But small chambers inside the mind Each another's audience Breaking the seal of solitude Walking the sand Kiss to hand ___________________________________
