I don’t have to bury myself anymore
To fill the room with someone else
To wait around
Only to ask for permission to do
Something that I want to do
I can break these walls down
And decorate how I want
I can rebuild
What was once destroyed
I can keep moving forward
Instead of sitting in place
It will take time though
This I am aware of
Because if I want to
Acquire what I desire
I must take one step at a time
And rebuild from the ground up
Build a castle
And protect what is mine
