Do you see me, like I see you Do you remember my soul Am I just a distant memory A fleeting thought of days of old I sense your happiness The joy in the ones you love How you all gather round Each one a brother to each other A connection to behold I'm lost on the wind A morning mist so fine I evaporate in the light It was never my time to shine I play my song for no one No one wants to hear me sing I play this song to march Down to the cemetery I knew I wanted love And when it came I made it into something that was profane I missed it's beauty And instead I became a curse For all those near me All I do is hurt I see me for who I was And who I am doesn't change the past A hall of mirrors that accuses The memory of an arrogant man I have nothing to offer A voice easily dismissed No real wisdom here Just another kid to swing and miss I play my song for no one No one wants to hear me sing I play this song to march Down to the cemetery Is it better to fade when breathing The ****** of this story has past No one will remember you No one will mourn and fast They will shed one tear for the sake of another In their hearts they will be relieved The chains you had on them are broken They are all now free I play my song for no one No one wants to hear me sing I play this song to march Down to the cemetery
