The sky had a mysterious amethyst hue, I sat in the college bus, unsettled. The sky was beautiful, yet exhaustion and frustration furrowed my brows. Then I noticed some flower beds nearby, full of purple and white blooms. But it wasn’t they that caught my eye— it was the marigold, standing alone, a different color, bright and free, that bloomed my mood beneath the mysterious amethyst sky.

Blooming under the Amethyst
The sky had a mysterious amethyst hue, I sat in the college bus, unsettled. The sky was beautiful, yet exhaustion and frustration furrowed my brows. Then I noticed some flower beds nearby, full of purple and white blooms. But it wasn’t they that caught my eye— it was the marigold, standing alone, a different color, bright and free, that bloomed my mood beneath the mysterious amethyst sky.
