to be trapped
inside your own body
is the scariest feeling.
eyes staring out into the horizon,
no ability to communicate.
you want to tell someone how you feel,
but how do you describe dissociation
without sounding like an idiot?
you sit in front of the mirror,
staring into your lifeless eyes,
and all you can think
is how the hell do i get out?
