You are no longer the rose I once knew; your petals have fallen, your eyes without hue, and gone is the songbird who once flew to you, who made your heart dance and flutter and swoon It killed him to see you (so painful inside) and each each time you withered a part of him died. He often returns to the field where you played but no more will he return to love's grave.
