You can speak venom on my name But it's no weight on me God has set my burdens free My evolution isn’t yours to own You can claim the scars you put on my heart Your forbidden fruit turned into poison Your poison seeped into me like water A hold on me I've never felt before Stuck when we were apart I couldn’t function without you I absorbed the dysfunction Gave excuses to cover the pain Your words cut me deeper than any weapon I started to wonder why you didn't see me Took every strike, and said it was love Just one look and I was your puppet A venom that froze my tears I had to shed who I was with you Turn my pain into antivenom True love shouldn’t be toxic Naive mistakes cost me I don't wanna live this way So I fled into the unknown To rediscover me
