Being Woman..đź’•
Being woman—
I am compared with flowers:
Expected to be gentle,
Trained to be delicate,
Yet, as I bloom, I cross the thorns—
Hurt, but rising,
Bruised, but blossoming,
Learning to flourish in spite of pain.
Being woman—
I am compared with earth:
Asked to anchor,
Told to be calm and patient,
Though inside, countless feelings layer and swell—
I hold steady,
Silent in my storms,
Patient, even as I quake within.
Being woman—
I am compared with ocean:
Taught to accept,
To carry dignity on the surface,
Even as wild waves rage unseen—
I remain graceful,
My depths untold,
Embodying strength beneath tranquility.
My dear world,
Let go of your expectations—
Let me live,
Let me breathe as I am.
For I am the one who shapes the world,
The spark that brings light to lives,
Capable of life,
Capable of love,
Unbound by comparison—
Simply, truly—woman.
