You'll find no witness to The Rose A fable in the garden No petals on the throne, No thorns upon the martyrs From budding **** to trees of winter The fruits grow sweet, and not forbidden The eastern wind, it seems to whisper A gentle breeze, one full of secrets Beyond the pond, where dawn is fading There lies the rose, the last one standing
