#dawn
A night owl in the harvest moon was awake till the crack of the dawn but wasn’t surfing online, wasn’t rowing the boat in the digital river. Deep down to a dreamweaving scene that was, in musing, painstakingly creative. Wait till you snap up a witty aphorism. The darling buds of May will be in bloom. The tickled pink nightingale too will give out its voice, singing a song. Save a copy and tweet it to all, but do give us a demo, tell us a bit more. Where does it shine and sizzle? Where did the winter tuck away the rose?

A Rose is not only for a Summer
We're forced, each man, to walk a trialed path— resisted trek, uphill through blinding daze that shrouds with crucible's perplexing haze till fog-white skies yield quick to black clouds' wrath. Affliction brims a thorny pack to bear whilst dewy darkness drenches in the night, but where is calming lamp to lend us sight? And who will come to give us saving care? Here through veil is heard a whisper certain, then o'er the mountain creeps the dawning day and with clear eyes we see the brume give way as God retracts His theatre's curtain, unsheathing velvet waves whose morning sheen beyond grey mist splays vast and wondrous green.

Drakensberg Sonnet
When the sun is a sleeping beauty at night shining on the Moon! The night is wake is a stunner far cuter. It knows no cold foot is on the move. The full wax of the starry sky keeps awake. But none could chart a line exposing a beautiful night in the veil, no one says a single word. The first one perhaps that dared to open the mouth only to be speechless to be lost for word! Not a night or two ago but since the dawning of the time!

When The Sun is a Sleeping Beauty
I only took the moon, veiled in my cube; I drew her innate water off — but not for good. Now the sun can’t take its eyes off the blindfolded black moon! Off this night, the sunup is yet to unleash— the dawn, let alone the tucked-away noon!

blindfolded black moon
Oh, bucolic pastorale, Dawn brings a carnival, Golden-pink, sunrise hues, What a wonder for our view, Dawn draws back her veil, Night vanishes, sunlight's grail, Our skies aflame, End nocturnal games, Oh, bucolic pastorale, Dawn brings her carnival.

Quiet Dawn
raindrops faintly laughing as they prance                                                 along the leaves watercress dancing gently twirling slowly                                                           in the creek a deer’s neck softly brushing like a whisper                                                            against a tree the sun is rising in the forest with hushed tones                                                              of red on green a brusk barista whose soul is wounded wants to cry                                                                but bravely greets the first blush of sweet dawn's morning ignites resplendent                                                                                   things unseen                                   ©2016janetaylor

sweet dawn's morning
the heavy heart is a heathen corrupter of better nature committer of soul-treason fueled by the miserable notion that death is twilight and life is dawn to flight, to flail to rage, to rail to weep, to wail to no avail to unhope and all of this minus the mercy ©Jason Cole

Minus The Mercy
*you to go to him, you're throwing yourself in danger, to dream of such dangerous dream, stop now, let your heart rest, my heart shreads to pieces watching you grieve.* *you smile to me, as if nothing had happened, in reality, you tremble, wither, scowl away, come to me, rest yourself in the arms of mine, by dawn, fly to the moon.* *a place where we can't be together, a place where I can't go, that's okay, as long as you are safe.* *my sad story, can never be fulfilled in bliss, but instead, just this once, stop.* Your wings will get wet

Moonlight.
The sun leaps into responsibility, freshly pressed dripping another delectable day into me, though it knows and has always known I am still not ready caught in a thread spun by the same spider that spun the night I live between: I should know better than to stay in this cocoon with hands untwined enough to hush the alarm and bat unease from creased pillows let all dust and web surrender to the solvent between things. I comb through last night’s dream as it pours itself into my favourite cup, stirring the yawning tides and dissolving them with the stars and watch with heavy eyes as the morning shadows dance on porcelain walls, disappear into the infinite window where the oldest light that silently lights the distant meadow fields lights the cracks of this room waits and continues to wait for me.

Before I wake
The view after sunrise is such a delight The water reflects the beautiful light The clouds are all so bright; Coming in colours from pink and pure white. The birds even cherish this day and here I sit With not much to say, but the one thing I will admit Earth is beautiful ~ Umi

[early dawn rises] haiku
The blush of the dawn is so relentless driving into me it numbs all my senses, Oh beauty of the heavens far above You fill my heart with so much love, Thus I turn my gaze up to this glorious sky Watching all of these fluffy clouds passing by Until finally the sun rises.. ~ Umi

Dawn
Umi the bumblebee flies sometimes against a tree You might not see but you are great So keep your head high my mate Umi the bumblebee buzzes around full of glee, Don't worry I will not sting I am just being fluffy Though this bee might also be very cuddly And mostly silly Umi the bumblebee likes to see people happy Full of light she flies under the sun, Buzzing a song and having fun From flower to flower, each a delight, Forming a beautiful field, a wonderous sight Please don't sneeze while I pollinate Such would be very great ! Umi the bumblebee buzzes around and hits a tree This is it she can't do more Now she is sleepy and goes to bed Till the red of the dawn awakens her and she once again lifts up her head! ~ Umi

Tea
Dancing under this beautiful moonlight My wings brought us high as the mountains could reach; Listening to the songs of the wind whispering in our ears; As the stars illuminated us with its light And through our hearts beats in unison Our love grew strong as time passed; For I looking in your ever green eyes shines Our memories, our histories of hardships Like raging waves of ocean's wrath upon us; Like you looking in my ever violet eyes Brings back memories of how we hold our hands Under those cherry blossoms in spring's time Of the time we survived the stormy seas; Of us looking up in the night's sky starry view And of us looking through our own breath in the winter's cold night Like you said "you are my darkness and i am your light" It is a fate of two lovely souls of opposites Truly one and extraordinary yet never old; Yet the story of our love was heard from the heavens and hell Eldest, my master, the God of Gods was disgraced; Hades, your father, the king of the underworld was disgusted; For I an angel, a guardian of Eldest's kingdom Fell in love with the darkness' son; Our love caused chaos and wrath in the heaven's peace; And made hell burn a thousand times its self in anger; Eldest, whom was displease, cast my death Upon my soul and separated us with his command Like I, a flower dying with its own roots Withered and had slowly losing its own life; Yet as we stand forth and supported each other Our hearts connected even after death's command As the reaper stand and awaits to take your soul, To take you back to the place you belong; There is nothing we could do but accept this inevitable As our beating crimson heart cries silently; For even the Wraths and the Gods do us apart Our fathers and masters hated this love; Like the night meets the light at dawn; Our souls will find its way back in each others arm; Even us can not cease this burning desire To never let go of our ties; In this world or in our illusions It is our story worth dying with; Even the history goes on, we shall live in eternity As the story of the night that meets the light at dawn.

Embrace Like This
The sky turned navy, while saltwater dreams threaded through shipwrecks on the sea floor Darkness haunted the ruins like ink-stained ghosts and you couldn't see the stars under the waves and the jellyfish and the rust because we were all too scared to swim away from the familiar, beautiful nauseating darkness Our footsteps were heavy, as if we were weighted down by bricks The ethereal electricity of the ocean's embrace dragged wandering pieces of thought back into consciousness as the fading stars left our veins flowing a broken-watercolor-aquamarine Dawn began to dust the clouds with her coral-rose blush light rained down on fluttering eyelashes so we became moths, flinging ourselves onto street-lamps and into fires and through windows of hearts The jellyfish drowned in its own phosphor and up we fell

Jellyfish don't get amnesia
Gather in a dark night, impurities of the mind caused by poisonous emotions from loss and envy, of spite or jealousy, forming misery. Love fades, ahh once so innocently precious, yet fragile in structure, Leaving the servants of it in great despair and even darker hate, Where affection ruled supreme once the scars of misery are causing a heartache from leftover rampage, a riot now presented. Ah, phantoms Swaying back and forth between sadness and anger one gets lost in his own blindness, destroying and bringing himself into ruins, This lingering sadness seems eternal as time passes painfully slower, An enlighting realisation should do the task and let the soul lost inanihilating, irritational despair grow once again strong and happy, A spark illuminating the dark, with patience and hope for the future, But until this event is taking place, a personal hell is what has to be crossed alike a bridge made of anxiety, depression and self doubt. But worry not all you lost souls who are waiting for light! After all, every winter and every night find their end and ensure the dawn of a blooming spring dream. ~ Umi

Misery
*Greenery, O you beautiful thing, barely visible in the wake of early dawn. Amidst the darkness, dew drops form across your petals. Sometimes visible like crystals at my lawn. I look through you, the ray has hit your window, As I try to grasp the details you reflect like a mirror, You perish upon my gentle touch, And here I thought you would turn into gold. Oh my, I sure am getting old. Searching for answers within the dew drops of the early dawn, Knowing everyone just started to yawn, And lift their sleepy heads, Here I am standing, wondering where do these dew drops lead to. Dew drops, you are like ripples of tiny bubbles, But sometimes,I feel you are the tear drops that fall from the eyes of my own. And sometimes,I think you are the drops of love from the vast ocean, Endless, with no edges or corners, Perfect in your own solitude.*

Breathe
I will rise, Rise to paradise again Spread my wings, free from any chain, With only one goal in my eyes I look to the sky Then I rise, yes I will rise From the hellfire, no matter the price May I burn Take my turn But then it will surely be my time to shine The beauty of the heavens will surely be mine I will not stand these flames, Embrace my devilish distorted wings See what good that may brings One last judgement On this long lasting journey I will rise, rise, no matter the price A future dawns dream, draws near Make it clear In this realm of art and devilry Heartfelt dream scapes shape the mirror In a world so dark that the stars will blind- Refuse to fall! Forgotten by both Heaven and Hell A craft of hearts forms my kingdom! Take my hand, all ye pariah souls- The love of light is for all to bear! ~ Umi
