Oh Icarus, bold did you fall down.
with drippin' wax and droppin' feathers,
you laughed and fell with pleasure.
down with your glistening golden Crowne.
Oh Icarus, poor were you in Minos's palace,
stuck in a room without any liberation,
then soaring to such disaggregation,
a tale of hubris, now sung in silence.
Oh Icarus, shall thou never soar again.
you wings lost to the fate's cruel malice,
yet you soared from the palace,
beyond the wise..... both old and young men.
Oh Icarus, what I shan't do to be you,
up in the sky, but then below the brooks,
up till the sun did he alone partook.
and melt, and burn below in the dew.
Oh Icarus, you brave idiot,
such a fate shan't not be vital,
for destiny's fate is final.
You flew too high and met your wit,
but crashed right down unable to quit.

This is my very first poem that I have published... and it's an inspiration/adaptation of one of my favorite myths.
