Someone walked past me the other day. A simple looking man, one I did not know. But he smelled like home. Like tight hugs and whispered secrets. Like late night pizza and medical show re-runs. He smelled like you. A mix of oil and freshly washed clothes. A scent thats still stained into my mattress. I almost fell to my knees at the mere thought. My heart racing in my chest and my stomach flipping over. Its hard to be without you, when even the simplest of men can remind me of you.

Car grease and laundry detergent.
