A worn string Frayed and knotted Kept tied to the finger of the puppet master Grinning as he moves their limbs Laughing, knowing he’s breaking more than just skin Double knotted around a poppets throat Wrists bound and ankles tied She couldn’t escape if she tried And so she lets him break her with every strategic move And she cant do anything except follow the lead of a worn string

A Worn String
A worn string Frayed and knotted Kept tied to the finger of the puppet master Grinning as he moves their limbs Laughing, knowing he’s breaking more than just skin Double knotted around a poppets throat Wrists bound and ankles tied She couldn’t escape if she tried And so she lets him break her with every strategic move And she cant do anything except follow the lead of a worn string
