In the aftermath of love's decay I'm left to gather shards of yesterday Memories that once shone bright and true Now refract into a thousand points of pain anew A careless touch can shatter the calm And send the pieces of my heart into alarm The echoes of what  was still linger on A bittersweet reminder of love that's gone In the silence, I hear the sound Of fragments falling, like tears unbound A heart that's broken, like the morning dew A love that's lost, and all that's left to do Is to sweep up the pieces, one by one And hope that someday, the light will be won A light that's fractured, but not yet gone A love that's broken, but still lives on.

Fractured Lights
