sometimes the sun is shining
and we can't get enough of it
we're laughing, we're smiling;
we're happier than ever.
i forget the time and think about our progress
because in these moments I'm truly appreciative
but then, it rains
it pours so awfully loud
as if it's the only thing I hear from you
the clouds are dark and hopeless
filled with tears and grief
and the bad weather purposely stays for a while
suddenly the sun comes out
and who would have thought:
we think there's hope for us
- all over again.
why can't it always be sunny?
