I can relate. The painful thing for me is thinking of an addiction as church. It is an honest evaluation of a tragedy. I love the humor even the sarcasm. What that says to me is that someone has stood back from the experience and with a certain distance laughs at it. I think I understand... at least it resonates with my own experience. The simple honesty of this poem is awesome. Thanks Carlo.
