Caught yourself in a wave you couldn’t seem to float Found yourself a lighthouse to take cover, Now I hear you call it home Find myself to be like a deer Afraid of your headlights Stop acting like you're the one afraid. That’s when the trees started turning Your blue didn’t match the grey in my heart All of the green stripped from the surface of my skin Covered in thorns while your rosy lips are covered in wine That’s when I knew this wasn’t working Our violet haze became an undertone Felt like my time spent was worthless trying to put a worth on something so worthless. I was navigating lost myself in your four walls never again. I will no longer remain in the shackles you hold me in, I fear no one, but I respect everyone. I saw you with tainted glass but now it's transparent and oh what an ugly sight. I've built walls so high like an ivory tower I've outgrown you.
