Caught yourself in a wave you couldn’t seem to float
Found yourself a lighthouse to take cover,
Now I hear you call it home
Find myself to be like a deer
Afraid of your headlights
Stop acting like you're the one afraid.
That’s when the trees started turning
Your blue didn’t match the grey in my heart
All of the green stripped from the surface of my skin
Covered in thorns while your rosy lips are covered in wine
That’s when I knew this wasn’t working
Our violet haze became an undertone
Felt like my time spent was worthless
trying to put a worth on something
so worthless.
I was navigating
lost myself in your four walls
never again.
I will no longer remain in the shackles
you hold me in,
I fear no one, but I respect everyone.
I saw you with tainted glass
but now it's transparent
and oh what an ugly sight.
I've built walls so high
like an ivory tower
I've outgrown you.

I don’t think you notice
I don’t think you care
If you only just looked at me
For more than two seconds maybe
You’d have seen, we are
floating in space and
I’m gravitating towards you.
I love you to the world’s extent,
but we are merely a few seas away
as we drift towards each other
there are waves pushing me further.
Every single one of my thoughts of you is true
I can never stop thinking about you,
From the morning you wake
till the evenings you sleep.
To the dreams, you live.
It is an endless stream of thought.
I am yours,
I have always been yours
You are simply the earth that
my heart orbits,
And each time your heartaches
My heart beats in agony, for
I am not able to give you what you want.
Like a flame set alight
I burn for you,
Every fiber of skin, and blood
Burns because I can not bear
The agony of not loving you
The way that you deserved to be loved.
I don't know how to be the man that you deserve.
You deserve the best and I am simply not.

I gaze upon the stars,
and I am always in awe
because something that
doesn't look complex, is
as complex as the world.
Like a watch that tells us the time,
the earth is made up of many things
that work together to give us
water, land, food, something
complex.
Like my future,
something I can not fathom
something I do not wish to fathom.
I want to one day look up to the sky
and thank Allah for willing
me something, that will hopefully come
from love.
I want to one day,
have children with who I can
love the same way that my parents
bestowed upon me.
My Future.
I will gaze upon the stars
and will still be in awe
because of something that isn't complex,
is as complex as the world.

with the moonlight shining down on me.
you fell in love with a
dangerous woman,
now everything is going to be alright.
she was so into you,
but she was always going side to side.
let me love you, she said,
but I guess you were greedy
now you have to leave me lonely.
everyday wishing that sometimes
I don't care, I wish I didn't care
bad decisions led me to this
you just want to touch it
but boy did I wish you knew better,

Spiralling seamlessly,
like the moon rotates around the
earth
i always feel like i gravitate towards you,
You are the moon and the stars,
We are never too far,
yet we are never too close,
you see me for the way I am
I see you for the way you are,
The way you smile
The way you laugh at yourself,
The way that you are there for me,
I'm not one to marry young.
But if there was 10 minutes left in this world,
i would ask you to marry me,
I'm being patient,
but sometimes love can be so hard.
I don't want to lose you but when we go
our separate ways,
i'll be wishing upon a star
that we do return to see again,
so I can do all the things I wish to do.
He created for you from

This is a poem about a woman I love,
She keeps me in line
She is loving
She is nurturing
She doesn't get disappointed
She doesn't make a fuss
She takes care of me
She dressed me
She cared for me
She was there for me
She is never away from me for too long
She is the wonders of the world,
She is God's favourite,
She has endured pain
but after the pain
it followed with her heart and soul.
Like a shooting star,
she wished upon a star
she wished for safety
she wished for no pain for me
she wished that she never has to see her children in pain
That's a mum,
She is the heart and soul of the earth,

I can't seem to focus
and I don't seem to notice
I am far,
I'm living but so far.
I tried to travel back
but something was pulling me
Even in my darkest hours,
You were there.

Men don't cry,
Men don't care.
we are vultures,
energy-sucking batteries
recharged by the pains afflicted on others
it's true.
but there's a fine difference between a man
and a person.
Men don't cry
but a person does.
I am a man,
I do cry but is made to
feel weak,
scared to breakdown in front
of my dad, my brother
Be a man and get over it.

The movies, the tv-shows,
they never stop showing the
man as this ruthless creature
reinforcing the idea of the
stereotypical, hypocritical agenda of
being a MAN.
